🎬 Russian Cultural Code: Art — an educational documentary
For centuries, the Western world has been trying to solve the mystery of the Russian soul. Today, in the Digital Age, is has acquired a new name — the Russian cultural code.
In this film (developed by the School of Arina Sharapova, TV presenter, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber), music, graphic art and architecture will become a key to the Russian code. Unlike literature, theatre and cinema, these arts require no translation.
Contemporary art often reflects a response to changes in society and through art we can trace how Russian culture adapts to technological progress.
Young musicians and students were invited to take part in the discussion with artist Alexei Belyayev-Gintovt who has created paintings and installations dedicated to Russia’s special role in the world.
👉 Watch the documentary to better understand the Russian soul.

⚡️ Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview for a documentary titled "The UN from the 20th to the 21st Century" (Moscow, September 25, 2024)
Key points:
• Less than a year after the victorious powers established the UN based on the noble principles formulated in its charter, it became clear that the West, acting contrary to these principles, intended to launch a war against the Soviet Union, and not merely a cold war but an all-out war. These plans hatched by the then "Anglo-Saxons" [nations of the Anglosphere led by the US & UK] have long become public knowledge.
• Once NATO was created, the Soviet Union circulated a large document which demonstrated the detrimental effect of that and the danger of building walls between the East and the West, especially in Europe, and called for respecting the #UNCharter and for working towards this. Our call was not heeded.
✊ However, we kept fighting for justice and the implementation of the principle of sovereign equality of nations. Decolonisation was a bright stage and a major embodiment of that principle. The Soviet Union was the main initiator of the 1960 Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples. Following its adoption, the number of UN states increased by 80-90 members.
• They tell us that the main goal today is to ensure the territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is a misleading interpretation of the UN Charter, where the right of nations to self-determination is put before territorial integrity.
• Even before demanding respect for territorial integrity, the UN Charter demands respect for human rights without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion <…> Now that Zelensky’s Nazi regime, which the West nurtured, has banned both the language and religious rights of a large number of its own population, the West has put away the banners it was waving for decades.
❗️The top priority now is to ensure the achievement of the initial goals and principles of the UN Charter in their entirety and as a whole, rather than selectively or occasionally.
• The reform of the UN Security Council is not a one-off event. It’s a process which has been ongoing since the time the United Nations came into being <...> Nevertheless, it relies on principles that must be preserved at all costs. The main principle is that the Security Council reform should be based on a broad-based agreement among states. It does not say “consensus,” but it does state “broad-based agreement among states.”
🌍 🇮🇳🇧🇷 We have invariably supported the legitimate aspirations of India and Brazil to secure permanent seats in the Security Council. However, African aspirations must be met as well. Africa has common collective positions, which we respect. And we would have like that.
• Our position implies providing additional seats for Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We are open to some of these seats being permanent, but we need to achieve general agreement before we can move forward. It is a complicated process. I don’t see any chance for bringing this process to a swift and expedited completion any time soon.
• Since the UN was created, there has never been a time, a region, or a situation that involved the United States in one way or another, where the country would actually respect that principle. Every time, everywhere they acted as a hegemon, or like a "bull in a china shop".
• When they wanted to punish Russia, the West abandoned all the principles which it was feeding to us and which it declared sacred. The same is happening to the principles of the UN Charter. The West is trampling and destroying them without a moment’s hesitation.

🎬 Russian Cultural Code: Traditions — an educational documentary
The West has been trying to solve the mystery of the Russian soul for centuries. In this digital age, this mystery has been given a new name – the Russian cultural code.
In this film (developed by the School of Arina Sharapova, TV presenter, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber), the key to the Russian cultural code lies in our traditional life and values, which have been shaped by the thousand-year-long history of our multi-ethnic and multifaith country and its unique geopolitics.
The study of traditions in the context of the cultural code allows to better understand the roots of Russian culture and how they blend with the present.
History and political science students from Moscow State University and the Higher School of Economics, future diplomats from MGIMO University, and Combat Brotherhood volunteers from various Russian universities discussed the matter at hand.

✍️ Primary causes of the crisis around Ukraine
In the mid-20th century, Anglo-Saxon strategists kept their aggressive plans under wraps. Today, they no longer hide their intentions. So far, their strategy has been to defeat Russia using the illegitimate and essentially neo-Nazi Kiev regime as a proxy. Evidence abounds. Kiev has aggressively promoted and continues to propagate the neo-Nazi ethos, rewrites the World War II history, and fosters nationalist sentiments among broad segments of Ukrainian society, as it strives to perpetuate the memory of Nazis and their minions. <...>
Ukraine has become a terrorist state, which has been terrorising its own citizens and people beyond its borders for the past ten years. <...> Considering this, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen claiming that Ukraine defends values cherished by the EU catches the eye. European Council President Charles Michel also drew parallels between Ukraine and European values. Confessions like that can hardly be interpreted as something other than a manifestation of the deep-seated Nazi core of Europe’s political class, which is on the verge of launching itself into a reckless and suicidal anti-Russia adventure. Is there any point to discuss the absurdity and danger of attempting to “wage a war to victory” against a nuclear power like Russia?
Equally absurd are Kiev’s Western masters’ mantras about there being no alternative to talks based on the infamous Zelensky formula. In an effort to uphold this doomed ultimatum, the West has no qualms making appeals to the UN Charter and demanding to ensure Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
<...>
Western leaders, who obsessively use every opportunity they can get to invoke the subject of human rights, are conspicuously silent about these rights when it comes to racist moves by their Kiev clients. In light of such forgetfulness, let us recall another demand contained in that very first article of the UN Charter which is to respect the rights and fundamental freedoms of every person, regardless of race, sex, language, or religion. The rights of Russians and other ethnicities associated with Russian culture have been incrementally destroyed following the coup in Kiev. <...>
❗️The egregious violations of the rights of Russians enshrined in the UN Charter, along with threats to Russia’s security - and to all of Europe for that matter - that come from the Kiev regime and those who are trying to pull it into NATO, are the primary causes of the ongoing Ukraine crisis. The Russian special military operation is aimed at eliminating these threats in order to protect its security and the present and future of the people on their ancestral land.
We appreciate the sincere efforts, with the best of intentions, of a number of our partners to advance mediation initiatives. We respect their constructive focus on achieving a result as opposed to Zelensky’s dead-end formula. However, we urge our friends to fully consider the above facts regarding what truly caused the current situation. <...>
☝️ A realistic settlement plan was laid out by President Vladimir Putin on June 14, 2024. He made a compelling case for Russia’s goodwill to achieve negotiated solutions, the prospects for which were ruined by Kiev and its patrons as a result of the 2014 coup followed by the scuttling of the 2015 Minsk Agreements and the 2022 Istanbul Agreements.

🇷🇺🇰🇼 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks during talks with Foreign Minister of Kuwait Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Moscow, (October 28, 2024)
💬 Sergey Lavrov: Mr Minister,
Friends,
We are pleased to welcome you to Moscow.
🤝 This visit presents an excellent opportunity to continue the foreign policy dialogue we initiated with your predecessor and are now advancing with you, maintaining our momentum.
I remember our meeting in New York this July on the sidelines of the UN Security Council meeting. We quickly sensed our Kuwaiti friends’ commitment to ensuring continuity and enhancing cooperation across all areas, and we fully reciprocate that sentiment.
Today, we will closely review the current state of our bilateral relations and our perspectives on regional and international issues, particularly in the Middle East. Fundamentally, our views align closely with those of our Arab friends, including the member countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

🎙 Excerpt from the answers to media questions by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov following talks with Foreign Minister of Kuwait Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya (Moscow, October 28, 2024)
❓ Question: We can hear people in France and other European countries call for sending troops to Ukraine in response to the rumoured deployment of North Korean forces to support the Russian army. Should that happen, what will Moscow do?
💬 Sergey Lavrov: It has already happened. President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly provided specific data about the presence of the Western military personnel fighting for the Ukrainian armed forces. There are mercenaries and “volunteers,” and there are military instructors, who are indispensable if Ukraine wants to operate even its own long-range systems, let alone Western long-range weapons. Ukrainian troops are unable to use missile systems without the help of Western specialists, or space reconnaissance data, which Ukraine clearly cannot obtain on its own, or without programmers who set the trajectory of the flight path.
❗️ Western military personnel have been active in Ukraine for a long time now and are part of NATO and the EU’s hybrid war against our country — that we are well aware of.
With regard to our relations with 🇰🇵 the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, we have made it clear many times that there are no secrets about what the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between the Russian Federation and the DPRK is all about. It is an open treaty, and its text is publicly available. It does not violate provisions of international law and, among other things, it provides for mutual assistance if one of the parties comes under a military attack. Our stance in this regard is completely transparent and straightforward.
The West’s disingenuous claims about sending their troops to Ukraine under a far-fetched pretext are merely an attempt to come up with a retroactive justification for what has been actually taking place for quite some time now.
