🎬 The Russian House in Mumbai hosted the screening of the RT documentary "The First for the First" as part of the meeting of the Russian-speaking club "Namaste, Russia!" dedicated to the 255th anniversary of Ivan Krylov.

Vidya Svarge-Madane, head of the Russian language department, made a presentation on the life and work of Ivan Andreevich. The program featured fables of the classic of Russian literature, such as "The Crow and the Fox", "The Wolf and the Crane", "The Elephant and the Moska", "The Monkey and the Glasses". Russian folk songs performed by Vikas Gogte added a special flavor to the program.

🎞️ The film about the Aurus car originally developed for the Russia’s President raised great interest. The show was followed by a discussion, during which the audience was interested in almost every aspect: how many parts for the car are produced in Russia, whether there are such cars in India, whether there are versions of the car on lithium batteries and how the development of this car contributed to the revival of the country's automotive industry as a whole. The viewers expressed their wish to see more RT films.

During the conversation, the directions of cooperation with Russian colleagues in the field of ocean research, both poles and the Himalayas were outlined.

🧭In turn, Julia Kalyuzhnaya, representing the Tomsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society, spoke in detail about the round-the-world expedition going on for 2.5 years and about the project "Lessons from the Ocean," inviting colleagues to join the educational project.

🇷🇺 🗺️ The team of the round-the-world expedition "On the Way of Russian Round-the-World Sailors" arrived in Mumbai.

Over the course of three days, supported by the Russian House in Mumbai, expedition leader Yevgeny Kovalevsky and Chief of Staff Yulia Kalyuzhnaya met with more than 200 students and faculty from the Mumbai University, Vivek College and Shailendra College.

💬 An interesting story and live communication with real heroes who survived two rescue operations over 2.5 years of the expedition did not leave anyone indifferent: after each presentation, Eugene and Julia answered dozens of questions.

The expedition has not only historical, but also scientific and educational significance. During the journey, data on the state of water and air are collected, measurements of various environmental parameters are taken.

Based on the results of meetings with Indian educational institutions, it was decided to involve Indian schoolchildren and students in this project. The next lesson will take place on April 3 and will focus on Antarctica. The Institute of the Arctic and Antarctic (AANII) and the Indian Center for Polar and Oceanic Research are participating in its preparation.

🥇 The interpersonal final of the Olympiad in Russian language of the Presidential Library took place at the Russian Language Department of the Russian House in Mumbai.

👩🏻‍🏫 Ms Priyanka Malkar, a representative of the Russian language department of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and Ms Laxmi Mandlik, an employee of the Russian language department of the University of Pune, answered questions on the history, culture and art of Russia.
