💬 We are meeting at a both challenging and dramatic moment. Crisis situations are growing, & the international security situation is deteriorating rapidly.

Instead of engaging in honest dialogue & searching for compromises, we must deal with misinformation, coarsely staged incidents and provocations. The policy line adopted by the West undermines trust in international institutions.

The future world order is being decided today.

The question is whether this world order will have a single hegemon that forces everyone else to live by its infamous rules, which only benefit this hegemon & no one else.

OR

Whether this will be a democratic and just world free from blackmail and intimidation against the unwanted, as well as free from neo-Nazism & neo-colonialism.

Russia firmly opts for the second option.

An exhibition dedicated to the 1,163rd anniversary of Veliky Nogorod has opened in the Indian state's Trivandrum - featuring an in depth look at the history, figures and architecture that still shape the stunning city.

The First Deputy Governor of the Novgorod Region, Yevgeny Bogdanov, sent his greetings on the opening day.

“The Novgorod region is interested in deepening socio-economic, trade and cultural relations with Indian partners, as well as in creating favorable conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation with Indian states,” he added.

💬 The hysterics we are witnessing are highly indicative. A direct expression of will by the people has long ceased to be a way of establishing control over this or that territory the West can accept or support.

I would like to remind you about Vladimir Zelensky’s interview in August 2021, during which he stated that these were not people who were living in eastern Ukraine, but rather “creatures”, and that those of its residents who regarded themselves as Russians, wanted to speak Russian and wanted their children and grandchildren to have a future, should ship out to Russia. It was Vladimir Zelensky who started the process that made life of ethnic Russians in Ukraine intolerable and has ultimately led to referendums on the accession of these territories to the Russia.

🌎 #Lavrov: Instead of engaging in honest dialogue and searching for compromises, we must deal with misinformation, as well as coarsely staged incidents and provocations. The policy line adopted by the West undermines trust in international institutions, which are tasked with coordinating various interests and international law as a guarantee of fairness to protect the weak from arbitrary rule. We are witnessing these negative trends in their quintessential form here in the United Nations, which rose from the rubble of German fascism and Japanese militarism and was established to promote friendly relations among its members and to prevent conflict among them.

As President Vladimir Putin said, we will certainly respect the results of these democratic processes.

#Lavrov: today's meeting was motivated by a striving to discuss the issue of “impunity” in Ukraine. I consider this to be timely. This term fully reflects what has been taking place in that country since 2014. At that time, nationalist radical forces, overt Russophobes and neo-Nazis came to power there because of an armed coup, with direct support from the Western countries. Immediately after this, they embarked on a path of lawlessness and complete neglect for basic human rights and freedoms – the right to life, freedom of speech, access to information, freedom of expression, freedom of conscience and the use of a native tongue.

Today, on the fourth day of the referendum, the third group of international observers is working at the polling stations at the DPR Embassy in Russia.

🇮🇹🇷🇴 Eight representatives from Italy and one from Romania visited the DPR Embassy: Vito Grittani, Gianluca Procaccini, Gianfranco Vestuto, Giovanni Corleone, Giuseppe Luca Genovese, Camilo Zotti, Nicola Marzaro, Pietro Cassano, Camelia Dorina Pop.

Members of the election commission acquainted the delegates with all the details of the voting procedure, observers received answers to clarifying questions, personally followed the voting process, talked with the voters and learned the opinion of the Donbass residents.

International observers from Italy spoke about visiting polling stations in the DPR the day before, noted that they did not see anything that the Western media was talking about forcing the vote. But on the contrary, that voting was free and voluntary, stressed the good level of the process organization, stated the transparency of the procedure, compliance with international law. No violations were found during the visit.
