🇷🇺🇮🇳 On January 30, on the eve of the opening of the New Delhi World Book Fair, a press conference was held with the participation of its organizers and Russian representatives.

☝️ Dr Alexei Varlamov, famous writer and Rector of the Maxim Gorky Literary Institute, who heads the Russian delegation at the event, noted that it is an honour for Russia to be a Focus Country of the Fair in 2025, as well as underscored the importance of such exhibitions for cultural exchanges between the two countries, primarily in the field of literature.

🤝 Among other speakers were Chairman of the National Book Trust of India (NBT) Prof Milind Sudhakar Marathe and Director of the NBT Yuvraj Malik who elaborated on the key aspects of the Russian participation in the upcoming event.

💬 The press conference, which ended with a lively Q&A session, was attended by representatives of Indian government agencies, cultural and academic circles, and media.

🇮🇳 On January 27-31, in the area adjacent to the Red Fort in New Delhi, residents and guests of the capital had the opportunity to attend the festival "Dekho Apna Desh", during which visitors could get acquainted with the history of Indian states and union territories, learn about the main attractions, taste regional cuisines and watch performances by folk groups.

🟣 A demonstration of thematic mobile platforms that took part in the ceremonial parade on the occasion of the Republic Day on January 26 was organized.

🖼 The tableau of Himachal Pradesh was dedicated to the work of Russian artist and philosopher Nicholas Roerich and his 150th birth anniversary celebrated in 2024. In addition to the figure of the artist himself at his easel, the art object presented his most famous paintings and a story about his important role in public diplomacy.

🤝 As the author of the project, artist Him Chatterjee, underscored, the legacy of Nicholas Roerich is one of the most brilliant examples of Russian-Indian cultural ties. Today, Naggar in the Kullu Valley, which became a second home for Nicholas Roerich, is home to his memorial museum.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On January 26-30, a delegation of Russian cadets visited India. 10 students of the Kyzyl Presidential Cadet School of the Russian Ministry of Defence attended the festive events dedicated to the Republic Day, during which they took part in an international programme, including the annual NCC Prime Minister Rally.

🤝 They also met with representatives of the Indian Defence Ministry and their peers from 18 countries, visited the main attractions and museums of New Delhi as well as Taj Mahal.

🔸 On January 29, the cadets visited the Russian Embassy in India, during which they held a lesson of courage for students of the Alexander Kadakin School, made a presentation of their educational institution and performed artistic numbers.

💬 They answered questions from schoolchildren and teachers, met with Head of the diplomatic mission Denis Alipov, and visited the memorial museum of Ambassador of Russia to India Alexander Kadakin.
