Forging New Horizons in Space Diplomacy

The Founding Director of India’s “Tears of the Earth” Foundation, Rumit Walia stopped by the Russian House in the course of his visit to Sri Lanka for a Youth Conference. The parties discussed the possibilities of joint projects in the field of space diplomacy, the subject so hugely popular both in India and Sri Lanka.

As his special gift, Rumit Walia presented the new issue of Druzhba (Friendship) – a Russian Digest published in India with the support of The Russian Embassy in New Delhi. Sure enough, the magazine is fully dedicated to space, cosmonauts and international friendship – everything we love so much!

On October 26 this year, a concert "Masterpieces of World Classics" performed by soloists of the musical theaters "St. Petersburg Opera" and "Zazerkalie" took place on the stage of the Royal Opera House (Mumbai).

Romances, arias and duets from the world musical heritage were performed, including works by S.V. Rachmaninov, P.I. Tchaikovsky, J. Bizet, J. Puccini, W.A. Mozart and other great composers.

Before the start of the program, the Consul General of Russia in Mumbai, Mr. Ivan Fetisov, made a welcoming speech, stressing the importance of humanitarian cooperation between Russia and India.
