๐ŸŽ™ President Vladimir Putin took part in the closing ceremony of the World Youth Festival (March 6, 2024)

๐Ÿ’ฌ Vladimir Putin: When we were inviting you to come to Russia, we set ourselves the fairly simple tasks of creating conditions of freedom, creativity and friendship for you to interact with each other and meet new friends and possibly partners in your future projects. I hope that we succeeded.

โ€ข You are all so different. <...> How did you manage to crate this city of world youth when you are so diverse? There must be something you all have in common. Today, in Russia we describe it as our traditional values. They form the foundation of our life, our existence. This means that there is something that unites us.

๐Ÿ‘‰ All of us are human beings. And we are all equal.

โ€ข If we are all equal, there is no place for anyoneโ€™s exclusivity in the world. There is no place for arrogance, segregation.

โ€ข We are all born equal but the question is, do we grow and develop under equal conditions? The answer is, unfortunately, not. This is the greatest injustice in todayโ€™s world order.

โ€ข If you ask me what can be done for everybody to live and to grow under equal conditions, unlocking their talents for the benefit of their loved ones, their family, their country and perhaps humanity as a whole, I do not know. But what I do know for certain is that we all must strive for it.

โ€ข Only by striving for it will we make the world more transparent, just, democratic, sustainable, balanced and safe.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿค I want all of you to know that the entire Russia is now your friend. Our doors are always open for you and your noble intentions.

๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ It is with great concern that we have to state that the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) is going through a deep crisis caused by the corruption of its leadership that have patrons in the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

๐Ÿ’ธ The numerous facts of corruption, manipulations with doping, fraud and nepotism in the IWFโ€™s leadership have seriously undermined the trust of the sports community and the general public.

The Russian Weightlifting Federation ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ (RWF) is actively fighting the architects of the system of corruption and doping in international weightlifting.

โ—๏ธThe RWF President Maksim Agapitov has repeatedly drawn attention to facts of violation of established norms by the leadership of the IWF, as confirmed by decisions of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš–๏ธ He has won three court cases in the CAS โ€“ lawsuits against the International Olympic Committee, the International Weightlifting Federation and the claim to its vice president Mr Attila Adamfi.

At the same time, aggressive politicized actions by IWFโ€™s sport officials are continuing, aimed at preserving totally corrupt system that has developed over the past decades.

๐Ÿ™ Nevertheless, we still continue to hope that the principles and values of clean and fair sports will prevail in this situation.

๐ŸŽ™ President Vladimir Putin extended greetings to Russian women on International Womenโ€™s Day.

๐Ÿ’ฌ From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the best on International Womenโ€™s Day.

<...>

You certainly have the power to improve this world with your beauty, wisdom and generosity, but above all, thanks to the greatest gift that nature has endowed you with โ€“ the bearing of children. Motherhood is a glorious mission for women.

<...>

This year is dedicated to the family in Russia. The meaning, the essence of the family is primarily about the continuation of life, the continuation of the lineage, of the story of each family and our entire country. The family is the bond that has ensured continuity from generation to generation, and consideration and respect for women and motherhood are an integral part of our traditions.

<...>

๐Ÿ‘‰ I would like to specifically address the women who are serving in the special military operation now, carrying out combat missions, as well as to others who are now separated from their family members, waiting for our heroes to come home, inspiring them with their love, cheer and support, worrying about every soldier, helping them on the front line, in hospitals, and in numerous volunteer organisations. Again and again, you prove that a womanโ€™s heart is truly an irresistible force, providing an example of perseverance and confidence that good and truth are on our side.

You take on extremely difficult challenges, achieving success and impressive results in a variety of fields. We, men, often feel amazed at your ability to get things done quickly and efficiently, yet thoroughly, seeing to every detail. You handle an endless succession of problems and burdens without losing your charm and allure. It is impossible not to admire you.

I would like to wish you genuine mutual understanding with those you hold dear, as many truly happy moments in your lives as possible, and success in everything that is important to you.

๐Ÿ’ All the best to you. Happy International Womenโ€™s Day!
