📄 G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration

FULL TEXT

We are One Earth, One Family, and we share One Future.

🌐 Together we have an opportunity to build a better future. <...> We will pursue development models that implement sustainable, inclusive and just transitions globally, while leaving no one behind. <...>

✍️ We meet at a defining moment in history where the decisions we make now will determine the future of our people and our planet. <...>

As Leaders of G20, the premier global forum for international economic cooperation, we resolve to act in concrete ways through partnerships.

👉 We commit to:

• Accelerate strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth.
• Accelerate the full and effective implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
• Pursue low-GHG/low-carbon emissions, climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable development pathways by championing an integrated and inclusive approach.
• Promote resilient growth by urgently and effectively addressing debt vulnerabilities in developing countries.
• Scale up financing from all sources for accelerating progress on SDGs.
• Accelerate efforts and enhance resources towards achieving the Paris Agreement.
• Promote sustainable, quality, healthy, safe and gainful employment.
• Better integrate the perspectives of developing countries into future G20 agenda and strengthen the voice of developing countries in global decision making.

<...>

🤝 We reiterate our commitment to the G20 as the premier forum for global economic cooperation and its continued operation in the spirit of multilateralism, on the basis of consensus, with all members participating on an equal footing in all its events including Summits.

❗️ Recalling our collective actions to stem earlier global crises, we are determined to steer the world out of its current challenges and build a safer, stronger, more resilient, inclusive and healthier future for our people and the planet.

🇷🇺 Russia's position at the #UNGA78 regarding food security 🌾

☝️ We note the need to uphold the central role of the Rome-based international organizations — the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the United Nations World Food Programme and the International Fund for Agricultural Development — in coordinating international efforts to strengthen global food security, eliminate hunger, improve nutrition, and ensure sustainable agriculture and rural development.

We are actively engaged in the follow-up to the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit to transform food systems. We assume that the transformation of international food systems should take into account national priorities and specific circumstances.

We oppose Western countries' attempts to hold Russia responsible for the global food crisis.

👉 In our contacts with friendly states and within various international fora, we endeavour to explain the real consequences and impact of the unilateral restrictions imposed against us.

❗️ We consider it crucial to prevent the politicization of international cooperation in the agrifood sector and the provision of humanitarian assistance, as well as the instrumentalization of the anti-famine agenda for commercial, economic and geopolitical purposes.

👉 We pay particular attention to ensuring stable and uninterrupted food supply chains and correcting distortions in the fertilizer market, primarily for the benefit of those in need in developing countries.

⚡️ Russia's position at the seventy-eighth session of the UN General Assembly:

Arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation

📃 We have consistently advocated for strengthening the existing and developing, through consensus, new treaty regimes in the field of arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation.

The UN and its multilateral disarmament mechanism should play a central role in this process.

We are working to increase the efficiency and consistency of the work of its key elements – the First Committee of the UNGA, the UN Disarmament Commission and the Conference on Disarmament.

The exhibition provided insight into the key life milestones of Nicholas Roerich and his son, Svetoslav Roerich, in relation to India. It also highlighted the profound impact of India's spiritual and artistic traditions, as well as its breathtaking natural beauty, on the artistic endeavors of these two distinguished Russian artists. Special attention is paid to the friendship of this outstanding family not only with representatives of local artistic community, notably with the writer, Nobel Prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore, but also political leaders and freedom fighters of India – Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. In the context of the attempts of a number of Western countries to politicize the cultural sphere of multilateral cooperation, particular emphasis is placed on the efforts of Nicholas Roerich to develop the concept of “Peace through Culture”, preserve the world cultural heritage and conclude the first ever international treaty aimed at protecting monuments, known as the “Roerich Pact”.

The recognition that representatives of the Roerich family still enjoy in India is the best proof of the widespread demand for Russian art abroad, despite the desire of the collective West to “cancel” it. The Russian-Indian exhibition highlights the relations of exceptional spiritual affinity that have historically developed between the two peoples as well as our common approaches to the importance of promoting civilizational and cultural diversity and polycentric world order.
