Regional tracks of the foreign policy of Russia: European region

❗️Most European states pursue an aggressive policy toward Russia aimed at creating threats to the security & sovereignty of Russia, gaining unilateral economic advantages, undermining domestic political stability & eroding traditional Russian spiritual & moral values, & creating obstacles to Russia's cooperation with allies & partners.

☝️Russia intends to consistently defend its national interests by giving priority attention to:

1) reducing & neutralizing threats to security, territorial integrity, sovereignty, traditional spiritual & moral values, & socio-economic development of Russia, its allies & partners from unfriendly European states, #NATO, the EU & the Council of Europe

2) creating conditions for the cessation of unfriendly actions by European states & their associations <...> & for their transition to a long-term policy of good-neighbourliness & mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia

3) the formation of a new model of coexistence by European states to ensure the safe, sovereign & progressive development of Russia, its allies & partners, & durable peace in the European part of Eurasia, taking into account the potential of multilateral formats, including the #OSCE.

Objective prerequisites for the formation of a new model of coexistence with European states are geographical proximity, historically developed deep cultural, humanitarian & economic ties of the peoples & states of the European part of Eurasia. The main factor complicating the normalization of relations between Russia & European states is the strategic course of the USA & their individual allies to draw & deepen dividing lines in the European region.

❗️The realization by the states of Europe that there is no alternative to peaceful coexistence & mutually beneficial equal cooperation with Russia <...> will have a positive effect on the security & welfare of the European region.

Glorification of Nazism

⚠️ The Kiev regime’s efforts to aggressively propagate neo-Nazism are paired with consistent efforts to rewrite the history of the Great Patriotic War.

Distorted interpretations of historical events are being imposed on the people which belittle the role and contribution of the Soviet Union to the victory over Nazism.

The nationalist sentiments among the broad public are cultivated in Ukraine through state policy and vigorous efforts of the authorities of all levels to whitewash and glorify Nazism.

❗️ Notably, a regulatory framework has been created for this kind of activity. In accordance with these documents:

• Soviet symbols were outlawed;
• Communist authorities were condemned;
• archives of the Soviet security services were opened;
• public use, wearing or displaying the St George ribbon was prohibited;
• World War II Ukrainian military nationalist formations and their leaders – the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) (Stepan Bandera) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) (Roman Shukhevich) – were recognised as independence fighters. Commander-in-Chief Shukhevich served in the Third Reich’s Nachtigall Battalion, the 201st battalion of the Ukrainian Legion Schutzmannschaft;
• criminal liability was introduced for negative assessment of the activities of the above units.

On January 30, 2018, in line with the provisions of the law “On the legal status and honouring the memory of fighters for independence of Ukraine in the 20th century,” the Lvov Regional Council resolved to display the OUN-UPA flag along with the state flag of Ukraine.

Similar decisions were adopted by the Volyn Regional Council, city councils in Ternopol, Kiev and a number of other cities.

⚡️ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has issued a report «The Human Rights Situation in Ukraine». The situation in this country seriously deteriorated in 2022.

This is confirmed by the many cases on record of grave human rights violations in all spheres of public life, as well as the unwillingness to take action to improve the situation on the part of those who call themselves the country's leaders.

A number of researchers have rightly noted that the Kiev regime underwent a political mutation in 2022. The environment that it created in the wake of the martial law allowed it to build an authoritarian rule in that country which can be described as:

• an absolute monopoly on power,
• out-of-court reprisals,
• tough censorship,
• liquidation of almost all independent media and the destruction of political opposition,
• total state propaganda,
• an active search for traitors and fictional Russian spies and saboteurs.

Having adopted the ideology and practices of the Ukrainian national radicals, the current regime has, in fact, degenerated into a neo-Nazi dictatorship.

👉 The rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs), the Russian-speaking people and representatives of ethnic minorities, of whom there are many among the IDPs, have been restricted.

👉 Kiev’s campaign against the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church has reached a new level in terms of cynicism and hypocrisy.

👉 Numerous violations of citizens' rights to a fair trial continue to occur, especially in criminal cases related to the conflict in Donbass.

👉 With the tacit permission of the Kiev authorities, right-wing radical combat units use civilians as a human shield.

👉 Russian servicemen that have been taken hostage are being held in terrible conditions and subjected to torture and other forms of inhuman and cruel treatment.

❗️The Ukrainian authorities discarded the very thought of bringing perpetrators of these grave crimes to justice.

बीते शुक्रवार को दिल्ली के रशियन हाउस में हमारी फिल्म “डोनबास: खतरे में बचपन” बड़े पर्दे पर दिखाई गई। दर्शकों के बीच मेजर जनरल (डॉ.) गगनदीप बख्शी भी थे। फिल्म को लेकर उनका कहना था कि पश्चिमी देश यूक्रेन में चल रहे संघर्ष को और खींचना चाहते हैं जिससे पूरी दुनिया के सामने आर्थिक आपदा का खतरा पैदा हो सकता है। बाकी दर्शक भी उनकी बातों से सहमत थे। उन्होंने पश्चिम के देशों की आलोचना की, जो ‘आखिरी यूक्रेनी’ तक लड़ने को तैयार हैं।

भारत-रूस के बीच व्यापार संबंध होंगे और मजबूत

एक 50-सदस्यीय भारतीय व्यापार प्रतिनिधिमंडल सोमवार से रूस की चार दिवसीय यात्रा पर जा रहा है। रूस जा रहे भारतीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल के मास्को और सेंट पीटर्सबर्ग में खरीदारों से मिलने की उम्मीद है। इसे दोनों देशों के बीच आर्थिक संबंधों को मजबूत करने की दिशा में एक अहम कदम के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है।

हाल ही में रूसी उप प्रधानमंत्री डेनिस मंटुरोव की भारत यात्रा के दौरान यह भी कहा गया था कि भारत और रूस एक मुक्त व्यापार समझौते पर बातचीत कर रहे हैं।

पश्चिमी प्रतिबंधों के बीच रूस एशियाई देशों के साथ व्यापार को बढ़ा रहा है। हाल के महीनों में मास्को भारत के लिए कच्चे तेल का सबसे बड़ा आपूर्तिकर्ता बन कर उभरा है।

फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडियन एक्सपोर्ट ऑर्गनाइजेशन के महानिदेशक अजय सहाय ने कहा, 'हम रूस में अवसर देखते हैं और इसलिए यह प्रतिनिधिमंडल वहां जा रहा है। यह प्रतिनिधिमंडल रूस में खाद्य और कृषि उत्पादों के लिए बाजारों की खोज करेगा।' उन्होंने कहा कि इस साल हमारा लक्ष्य रूस के लिए भारतीय निर्यात को दोगुना करके इसे लगभग 5 अरब डॉलर तक पहुंचाने का है।
