Dear friends,

I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate all Indians on the Independence Day!

India as one of the leading global powers is rightfully proud of the outstanding economic and political achievements coming along with strengthened commitments to social, scientific and technological progress, which is carefully harmonized with the centuries-old traditions. For the past decades, India has managed to earn an enormous respect on the international arena occupying one of the key roles inthe world affairs.

From the very beginning in 1947, Russia invariably remains committed to the Indian growth, while there is a substantial contribution by the Russian-Indian special and privileged strategic partnership to the Indian success story. Today we reached a unique level of our engagements in defence, energy, trade and economy, finance and investments, nuclear power, space, science and technology, connectivity, culture, etc. On the international stage, we continue our close coordination in the UN, SCO, G20, WTO, WHO and BRICS, chaired by India in 2021, to support the efforts of the global community to promote just and equal multipolarity, global and regional stability and sustainable development.

Traditional tremendous mutual trust, understanding and support between
the two nations help us to successfully mobilize our achieved potential to cope with a wide range of challenges and threats, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have no doubt that India will be further heading towards new accomplishments and big goals!

We wish all Indian friends many happy returns and the best of health!
Long live the Russian-Indian friendship!

Jai Hind! Jai Rus!
