The two nations are looking to build on already dynamic and diverse trade, with discussions in the Russian capital on Tuesday ranging from food security to inter-banking.

Moscow and New Delhi look about on course of reaching the goal of 💵 30 billion for this year in trade.

Denis Manturov described bilateral relations as a "strategic partnership" of "paramount importance."

During dialogue he expressed an intensity to complex and multi-vector co-operation, which is expanding successfully to a range of areas.

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 Today, Russian Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov had talks with the External Affairs Minister of India Dr S.Jaishankar in the format of a meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

The Sides substantively discussed interaction in the trade, economic and investments spheres, touched upon issues of cooperation in the field of finance and interbank relations, transport, energy and food security.

A dynamic growth of bilateral trade turnover was noted, which, by the end of this year, may come close to the goal set by the leaders of the two countries - 30 billion USD.

“Relations with India are in the nature of a special and privileged strategic partnership, and are of paramount importance to us. Despite pressure from Western countries, we were able to maintain the intensity of bilateral cooperation and are satisfied with the dynamics of the political dialogue with India. Comprehensive, multi-vector cooperation in the field of trade and investments is successfully developing, industrial cooperation between our countries is expanding in a wide range of areas”, noted Manturov.

💥 In Kupyansk direction, the active actions of Russian troops, artillery fire and air strikes repulsed the attack of the reinforced motorised infantry battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the settlement of Kuzemovka (Lugansk People's Republic). We have already received some official applications for membership. Given this, we expect the work on coordinating the criteria and principles that should underlie BRICS expansion to not take much time, but first, we need to understand how this association will continue to develop in a potentially expanded format.

‼️Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has ordered Russian forces to pull back from the city of Kherson and establish a new defense line along the Dnieper River. The minister made the decision on Wednesday following a report by Army General Sergey Surovikin, the commander of the country’s military operation in Ukraine.

One of the goals stated for the move is to assume better positions and save the lives of soldiers and civilians.
