The unnamed source told the newspaper that Cairo was exploring Israel’s “readiness to completely withdraw from the areas that the army entered in the Gaza Strip following the ground operation, in the event of a comprehensive agreement being reached.”

The report also noted that Hamas “agrees in principle” to resume negotiations for the release of further hostages - in exchange for a truce of up to a month in the Gaza Strip.

💥US shoots down 2 anti-ship ballistic missiles fired by Houthi group in Red Sea: CENTCOM

The US said Saturday it downed two anti-ship ballistic missiles in the Red Sea in response to a Houthi attack on a merchant vessel.

“The Singapore-flagged, Denmark-owned/operated container ship requested assistance, and the USS GRAVELY and USS LABOON have responded to the ship," US Central Command wrote on X.

The vessel is reportedly seaworthy and there are no reported injuries, it said, adding: "This is the 23rd illegal attack by the Houthis on international shipping since Nov. 19."
