A month and a half after its release in AOSP, Google has finally released the Android 15 update for supported Pixel devices (6 and newer). This version of the OS includes the following new features:
β’ Private space
β’ App archiving
β’ Predictive back gesture animation for supported apps (now enabled by default)
β’ Saving app pairs
β’ Ability to pin the taskbar on tablets
β’ Updated Volume panel
β’ Dynamic color contrast settings
β’ Automatically turn Bluetooth on the next day
β’ New smart home control screensaver
β’ Updated wallpaper setup menu
β’ Improvements to the preview of widgets in the list
And many other under-the-hood changes. By the way, don't forget to check out the modernized Android easter egg along with a special Landroid screensaver.
Along with Android 15, Google also released a new Pixel Feature Drop which we will talk about in the next posts.

The Browser Company, led by CEO Josh Miller, is shifting focus from Arc, their current browser for power users, to a new, more accessible browser designed to cater to everyone. Despite Arc's rapid growth and loyal user base, it's complex and too different for mainstream appeal. So, instead of trying to make Arc fit, the team will develop a fresh, AI-driven browser thatβs more proactive and streamlined, aiming to make online tasks seamless. This new browser, potentially launching next year, will be simple to start using, with plans to reveal advanced capabilities over time. Arc will remain supported, but the real innovation will be in this next browser.
