Remember to save only from heirloom varieties if you want tomatoes identical to the varieties you are saving seeds from. It’s important to ferment the seeds as shown to help break down the gel surrounding them, which would otherwise inhibit germination. Fermented seeds last at least 3 years, but I have found that they can remain viable for over a decade! I start all my tomatoes from seed indoors under grow lights in early February.🍅🍅🍅
