On this day 15 years ago, kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was released from Hamas captivity in Gaza following a prisoner swap deal.

On June 25th, 2006, Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier, was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists in a cross-border raid via tunnels near the Israeli border. Hamas held Shalit captive for over five years under harsh conditions. On October 18th, 2011, he was released as part of a controversial prisoner exchange deal.

Twenty years later, Hamas continues to terrorize Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza alike, proving that its commitment to violence and terror has never changed.

Uma ameaça de bomba obrigou um voo da Austrian Airlines, com 57 pessoas a bordo, que ia de Tel Aviv a Viena, Áustria, a desviar para a capital búlgara, Sófia, no final da noite de domingo (18). Uma busca posterior na aeronave não encontrou nada.

Segundo informações, a tripulação do voo relatou ter recebido uma ameaça de bomba quando a aeronave se aproximava da fronteira romena. A Força Aérea Búlgara enviou caças MiG-29 para escoltar o avião.
