Sheba Medical Center - Israel's largest hospital - has become the first hospital outside the United States to join OpenAI's healthcare program, signing a strategic partnership that gives its physicians early access to OpenAI's dedicated suite of medical AI models.

Under the agreement, Sheba doctors will be able to submit patient case descriptions and receive AI-generated responses drawing on the latest clinical research, medical literature, and supporting studies - helping them make faster and better-informed treatment decisions. Sheba will also integrate its own clinical protocols and treatment guidelines directly into OpenAI's models, potentially enabling recommendations tailored to Israeli medical practice. A delegation from Sheba is scheduled to visit OpenAI headquarters in August. Israeli innovation, once again leading the world. 🇮🇱🔬

In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. A kosher restaurant in Montreal, Canada, was burned to the ground in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Saturday morning. Emergency services were called to Nöam restaurant at around 3:15 a.m. after a man was seen on video apparently starting the fire before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported, but the building suffered severe damage.

Montreal police have opened an investigation, though a motive has not yet been established. The attack comes amid a sharp rise in antisemitic incidents across Canada since October 7, 2023 - with Montreal having seen repeated attacks on Jewish institutions including shootings and firebombings.

A 30-year-old Florida man has been arrested for smashing the window of the Chabad of Downtown SRQ synagogue in Sarasota in what police are treating as an antisemitic hate crime.

Brayton Laschinger threw a brick through the window at 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, wearing a blue towel over his head. When questioned by police, he admitted he targeted the building specifically because it was a Jewish place of worship, telling detectives he had seen "propaganda on social media and that was making him mad." He now faces a felony hate crime charge.

Fifty years ago on July 4, 1976, the IDF began the daring Operation Entebbe in which they rescued over 100 Jewish and Israeli hostages held in Uganda by PFLP terrorists. Yonatan (Yoni) Netanyahu, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's brother and one of the IDF commanders leading the mission, was the only Israeli casualty during the operation. Fifty years later, Uganda has unveiled a memorial to Yoni Netanyahu in the spot where he fell during Operation Entebbe. We remember this act of heroism and sacrifice that saved so many lives. May his memory forever be a blessing.

And it's very telling that when everyone knew war with Iran was imminent in February, Modi visited Israel to sign 39 treaties in less than 24 hours on industrial cooperation, on AI, machine learning, quantum computing, cybersecurity.

On August 2, 1943, Jewish people held at the Treblinka death camp, where approximately 870,000 Jews were murdered, rose up against their Nazi captors. They seized weapons from the arsenal, set the camp ablaze, and stormed the gates.

Treblinka survivor Samuel Willenberg recalled: "It was a singular and unique day… Our only desire was to obliterate the death factory which had become our home."

Of the 840 prisoners in the camp that day, around 200 managed to escape. At most 100 survived the war. But their courage echoes forever. Never forget. 🕯️
