O país, no entanto, nunca levou o prêmio.

🕯️ Last Yom Kippur, Melvin Cravitz was killed defending Heaton Park Synagogue's doors. Adrian Daulby was fatally shot holding them shut against the attacker. Both died protecting their community. Their loss was felt by Jewish communities worldwide. May their memories forever be a blessing.

No one should have to push past a hostile crowd to pray.
StandWithUs Director of Legislative Strategy Hadas Alterman says it clearly: If you oppose the Right to Worship Act, you oppose the First Amendment itself.
StandWithUs is proud to back the Right to Worship Act, introduced by Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY), Rep. Brad Knott (R-NC), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI). It protects both halves of our first freedom: the right to speak and the right to worship. It's narrow, it's bipartisan, and it's needed now.

Seven years ago, on October 9th, 2019 (which was the day of that year's Yom Kippur), a German neo-Nazi unsuccessfully attempted to enter a synagogue in Halle, Germany to carry out a shooting attack, and then ended up murdering two people outside of the synagogue and injuring two others.
Today, we remember.
May the memories of the victims forever be a blessing. 🕯️

53 years ago, the Yom Kippur War began when a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria took Israel by complete surprise by attacking the tiny Jewish State on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar.
We remember the sacrifice of the brave Israeli soldiers who gave their lives for Israel during this war. May their memories forever be a blessing.

53 years ago, when the Yom Kippur War erupted in Israel, legendary musician and true lover and defender of Israel Leonard Cohen dropped everything, left his wife and son, and headed to the Holy Land, saying: "I will go and stop Egypt's bullet." He went and performed for IDF troops on the front lines.
May his memory and legacy forever be a blessing.

Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) in Israel: The roads are empty of cars, and the synagogues are full of people. It is a time for introspection, reflection, forgiveness, and atonement...and the one day a year that children can ride their bicycles in the middle of the road, even on the highway. 🚲
Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy new year, and wishing Israel a year of prosperity, growth, and most of all, peace.
