25 Years After the Sbarro Bombing That Murdered 16, Including 3 Americans, the Mastermind Remains Free in Jordan

On August 9, 2001, a Hamas terrorist walked into a Sbarro pizzeria in Jerusalem and detonated a suicide bomb, murdering 16 people - seven of them children, three of them American citizens. Among the dead was 15-year-old Malki Roth, a US citizen and a pregnant woman. More than 100 people were wounded. As the 25th anniversary of the massacre approaches, its mastermind - Ahlam Aref Ahmad al-Tamimi - remains free in Jordan's capital, never in hiding, never extradited. She has been on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist list since 2013, the only woman on the list. Despite a standing US extradition treaty with Jordan, the Hashemite Kingdom has refused to hand her over. "The woman who boastfully calls the atrocity 'my operation' has evaded accountability for years," said Arnold Roth, Malki's father. "Justice has been defeated." Twenty-five years. Three American victims. Zero accountability.

Malki Roth was just 15 years old when she was murdered on August 9, 2001, in the Sbarro restaurant bombing in Jerusalem.

A Palestinian terrorist entered the crowded restaurant and detonated an explosive device, killing 16 people, including Malki and a pregnant woman, and injuring more than 100 others.

Today, we remember Malki and all those whose lives were taken in this horrific act of terrorism. May their memories forever be a blessing. 🕯️

The World Called It a Famine in Gaza. UNICEF's Own Data Says Otherwise:

A new survey shows Gaza has one of the lowest acute child malnutrition rates in the world: A UNICEF-coordinated survey found that acute malnutrition rates among children in Gaza range from just 0.2% to 0.8% - lower than Egypt (3.3%), Jordan (2.3%), Syria (12.2%), and even some European countries. These are not Israeli government figures. This is the UN's own data, collected using standard WHO methodology.

The famine narrative was one of the most damaging lies spread against Israel. UNICEF just dismantled it.

Twenty-five years ago, a series of horrific terrorist attacks shook Israel and the Jewish world.
Palestinian terrorists murdered ten-month-old Shalhevet Pass as she sat in her stroller. Koby Mandell and Yosef Ishran, two young teenagers, were brutally murdered while hiking in the hills of Tekoa. Another Palestinian terrorist entered the Sbarro pizzeria in the heart of Jerusalem carrying a guitar case filled with explosives and detonated it, murdering 16 people and injuring more than 100 others.
In the wake of these and other catastrophic acts of terrorism, StandWithUs emerged. To express our outrage, to provide context through education, and to stand with the people of Israel during a period of unfathomable violence and grief.

From some of Israel’s darkest hours arose an organization determined to help our people. An organization that would be strategic, courageous, and impactful.

We understood that outrage alone was not enough. Israel needed people who could tell our story clearly and confidently, confront misinformation with facts, and help others understand the history and humanity behind the headlines.

What began with a few determined volunteers, grew into an international educational movement. Twenty-five years later, we continue to develop informed and courageous leaders, empower students facing hostility, and build an ever-expanding global network of people willing to stand up for Israel and the Jewish people.

StandWithUs continues to meet each new challenge with the same sense of urgency, purpose, and responsibility that inspired its founding.
May we see true peace in our lifetimes. Am Yisrael Chai!

Jennifer Brick Murtazashvili, a professor and director of the Center for Governance and Markets at the University of Pittsburgh, stepped forward to serve on the university's Working Group on Antisemitism - a committee formed after three Jewish students were violently attacked on campus.

Her reward: her home was targeted and she was subjected to extensive online hatred and harassment. “No faculty member should have to endure that for serving the University," she wrote in her statement. Her experience is not an isolated incident - it is a warning.

When those working to fight antisemitism become targets themselves, it reveals how deep and dangerous the problem has become. Universities cannot build open communities if hatred is used to intimate any member of the community.

A report commissioned by the Canadian government has found that 95.7% of Jewish students surveyed experienced or witnessed antisemitism on campus in the 12 months between November 2024 and December 2025.

Based on a survey of 900 Jewish students across Canada, the report - prepared by the Association for Canadian Studies - documented harassment, death threats, Holocaust denial, and widespread faculty bias. Students reported being told "Hitler should have killed all of you" at campus demonstrations. A professor called Hitler "a hero." A student who wrote a paper on Hamas's October 7 sexual violence received a zero - and was told to write about Israeli police instead. 70% of Jewish students said their university did not take antisemitism seriously. 68% said campus life was not safe or inclusive for Jewish students.

Sheba Medical Center has been included in Newsweek's World's Greenest Hospitals 2026 ranking.

The ranking, compiled together with research firm Statista, evaluates medical institutions worldwide on sustainability and environmental management, including greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, water and waste management, and responsible procurement. Sheba has in recent years implemented a comprehensive sustainability program, including mapping its carbon emissions, setting a net-zero target for 2050, and integrating environmental and social responsibility into its day-to-day management and employee welfare policies.

Israeli excellence - in medicine and in protecting our planet.

RT @RoyKAltman: It’s on YOU to get involved and fight for Western civilization.

This war didn't start on October 7th. This war started 25-30 years ago.

Here’s why I'm optimistic. Martin Luther King—a great hero and a great Zionist until the day he died—always said, “the moral arc of history is long, but it bends towards justice.”

Our cause is the most righteous and moral cause, the most just cause the world has ever known, the cause of Western civilization, the cause of the Judeo-Christian family of religions that gave us monotheism, the Bible, Jesus Christ, and political democracy, and the cause of the crown jewel of this planet Earth, the United States of America, the greatest force for good the world has ever known.

We must understand that there is a geostrategic conflict that has already begun and it is on every single one of you—not just me and not just the people you see on TV—it's on you to get involved and fight for Western civilization.

One of the things that happens to me when I go around the country to churches is people tell me about dinner parties where there were 8-12 people at the table, one Jew, and someone said “genocide,” “apartheid,” “colonialism.”

And the Jew wanted to be polite and didn’t speak up. And a lot of these people will tell me, “You know what? We just assumed it was true because the Jew didn’t say anything.” And you don't say it. I understand why, because you don't want to make it awkward. You don’t want to ruin a friendship.

But here’s the thing: if you don't speak up now, it’ll be much more awkward 20 years from now when every single American assumes that it’s true because you didn't object at the dinner table. And so what gives me optimism is that we as Westerners, we as the Jewish people, Am Hanetzach, the eternal nation who have been around for thousands of years, when we are awakened to the reality that a fight is upon us, we have never, ever lost, and we will not lose this one if we fight it, I guarantee you.

Did you know that the official symbol of the City of Jerusalem, Israel's capital, is a lion? It represents the "Lion of Judah," the symbol of the Tribe of Judah and later the Kingdom of Judah, whose capital was Jerusalem.
