70-year-old prisoner Sheikh Abdulrahman Salah was transferred from Naqab Prison to Ramla Clinical Prison after his health condition deteriorated due to torture and harsh conditions.
Sheikh Salah was abducted in 2002, sentenced to 25 years in prison and released in 2011 as part of the Loyalty to the Free prisoner exchange deal. However, he was under house arrest in Jenin at that time and rearrested in 2014 under his previous sentence.
