The Government is aiming to raise an extra £520M from farmers once the new inheritance tax legislation is brought in by April 2026. The government has also committed £12.8BN to Ukraine, £7.8BN for military support and granted arms export licences to Israel amounting to £574 million since 2008 - including £42 million in 2022. Triggered by an online petition, on 16.12.24 Parliament will discuss the need for a Palestinian State. In their response to the Petition (which attracted 283,669 signatures before it was pulled due to the 2024 election) the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) includes the get-out clause 'We will recognise a Palestinian State when most conducive to the peace process'. The talk is of an 'immediate pause', rather than an 'end' to the fighting and while Gaza and the West Bank are mentioned, Jerusalem is not. Hamas will not remain in charge, yet no mention of international fugitive Netanyahu or terrorists Smotrich and Ben Gvir. What happens to the land of Palestine is 'not entirely in our gift', admits the FCDO. Really? It was entirely in your 'gift' in 1917. Emily Rosy Bremer (10 June 1971 – 27 March 2025) was an English anti-war activist who spent four years at the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp in opposition to American cruise missiles with nuclear warheads being based in Britain.
