I'd call it a non-issue; he says the criminals (that means aliens) who are applying for and filling jobs must still 'get OUT OF THE USA', a repeat of what he said in April about continuing to deport workers (which has increased significantly since then) and allowing businesses to request people return on a worker (temporary) visa.

Job Growth under T2 has been entirely native-born, with 1 million foreigners leaving the market so far, and the arrest pace has risen every week, so this post doesn't signal any reversal to me despite the interpretations thereof.

ICE hit several food plants and farms and jobsites in the past 2 days, and more today, arresting dozens each. Business owners largely lean Republican; assuring them they can get their beaner labour—the legal way— keeps the whining down. ICE & the DHS are still slapping businesses with fines for hiring illegals. Once we're at a maximal volume of arrests and removals the need to pander and compromise goes out the window.
