All of this is Work In Progress, as I've been tracking. There is systemic legal and physical infrastructure being developed for Mass Deportation, changes to restrict all legal immigration, the undoing of Civil Rights limitations and DEI. His ongoing Tariff plan (which has a 10% baseline and variation for negotiation or pressure reasons) is not worth arguing over, nobody follows the details well enough.
USAID closing is a big shift in spending and DOGE cuts are hitting social security fraud et al. They were not 'reduced'; Musk said the current findings are 150b by 2026, the full projection is subject to change, let alone by 2029. On taxes, the House has passed Trump's large tax cut framework as of last week. This does not take into account the savings from deep deregulation being done. On the Bitcoin Reserve, that EO is active and government agencies reported to Bessent last week for it.
Regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Arabs, nobody is surprised these historically annoying races refuse to cooperate. I'm noticing the past few months has been an endless of stream of people who either cannot read or do not think comprehensively making very dumb critiques. There is plenty to criticise of the current administration, like the endorsement of Vivek or the shabby performance of the FBI, yet few judgments I'm seeing are intelligent. Ubersoy, a Slavic-Jew, has a habit of omitting information or outright lying so I'm not too surprised.
