After two weeks of state-sanctioned brutality deployed against our movement, it’s time to re-ground ourselves. 

We know that fascism is empire turned inwards. That the jackbooted pigs have escalated their assault is proof that we represent an existential threat to the imperial war machine. Why else would the NYPD enter Hind’s Hall with their guns drawn? Why else would the LAPD throw stun grenades at teenage protesters? 

Let the recent days be proof: “Israel’s” demise is inevitable. 

Yesterday, 48,000 UC academic workers threatened to go on strike, and Pomona faculty voted in favor of divestment. Protesters rallied at the Indiana University President's house, and students at Portland State University re-occupied the Refaat Alreer Memorial Library.

How could anyone doubt our movement’s momentum? 

The pigs will never feel the love we feel when we are greeted by a raucous crowd at jail support. They will never understand what it means to love a comrade; to love a thousand comrades; to be warmly greeted by students in Gaza halfway around the world.

When the LAPD descended on UCLA with rubber bullets and tear gas, the encampment’s ranks did not shrink — they grew. Remember these stories. Repair, and ready yourselves for the long battle ahead. A free Palestine is no longer a slogan — not even a promise. It is an inevitability, and so are we.

Last night, state police instigated chaos at on the University of Michigan campus, hitting students and faculty with bikes and pepper spray. Protesters were disrupting a Regents meeting, demanding divestment, when cops arrived.

📍University of Southern California

After repelling an initial incursion by campus police, the USC Gaza solidarity encampment is now facing a potential LAPD raid. Cops appear to be staging near the encampment. Get down there and support your comrades against this police aggression! Free Palestine!

Cops, including Virginia State Police, are currently surrounding the UVA Gaza solidarity encampment, threatening to make imminent arrests.

Students disrupt the University of Michigan commencement to highlight the university’s complicity in the genocide of Palestinians.

After 3+ hours, the Gaza solidarity encampment remains. Protesters have physically resisted police incursions repeatedly. Police majors on-scene are now visibly infighting and falling out of rank due to heat exhaustion.

📍Wake Forest University

Earlier this week, Wake Forest students who set up a Gaza solidarity encampment were forced to dismantle under threat of suspension, large police presence and unchecked Zionist aggression. Black and brown students reported police racism. “We condemn the University for their hostile, aggressive, and racist actions against students speaking up against a genocide.”

Virginia State Police, in full riot gear, are cracking down on the UVA Gaza solidarity encampment. Pepper spray has been liberally deployed. This is the same city (Charlottesville) where white supremacists were given free reign to terrorize residents just a few years ago.
