📝 As demand for bandwidth skyrockets, fueled by AI, cloud computing, and data-driven services, we need next-generation amplifiers that go beyond the C-band. This PhD focuses on hybrid broadband optical amplifiers based on bismuth, erbium, and other technologies, enabling multi-band transmission across O-, E-, S-, C-, L-, U-bands and beyond.
