I see memes like this and I just have to laugh.

We hear the word 'conspiracy theory' thrown around a lot, but people who think like this have got to be the wackiest conspiracy theorists in human history. They're willing to believe that the US has tons of prisoners because prisons are run by some kind of neo-slave owner kabal.

The actual, much more simple explanation for why the US has more prisoners than any other developed nation is that it's a morally hollowed out country that's home to 47 million Blacks. That makes a bit of a splash in the statistics, to say the least. We also have a completely open border where the world's criminals can (and do) pour in. Leftoids want the benefits of a White ethnostate while enacting policies that are the polar opposite.

I'm glad I just finished reading Slouching Towards Gomorrah: Modern Liberalism and American Decline, because it's instructive for this discussion.

The Frankfurt School, of course, had a monstrous impact on American society. But in hindsight, we see how much of its strength came from how it played into thought patterns that American liberals already had. Namely that "All men are created equal" and that "Everyone has the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Western Marxists took these liberal ideals and used them to hit the gas pedal on the agenda for fraudulent racial, sexual, and religious "equality" (an agenda which had already been advancing since the dawn of Human Rights ideology). Liberals responded with either applause or shock that they were being outflanked on their own ideals.

This is why American universities completely folded to the New Left in the mid-20th century. The faculties believed the radicals were just taking the political ideals they were taught to the next level, and who were they to stop these young "idealists"?

Time and time again in history, we see how liberals and Marxists have played off of eachother in the West's downward spiral. There's a reason that the Church, in its wisdom, condemned both very early on.

I also think one issue here is how we define socialism. Socialism and Marxism are not identical, though Marxists often invoke the word socialism or identify as socialists. Historically of course, fascism (in its various forms), corporatism, and more showed it's possible to have a 'socialism' of sorts that's fundamentally opposed to Marxism.

Sam Harris recently admitted something I have long thought about atheists, which is that they have zero principles when it comes to gaining power. He states he would be fine with rigging elections. He goes further, saying in his own words that the Biden family could be mass murderers "hiding bodies in the basement", or be child pornographers and he would still support them over a right wing candidate.

I suspect many powerful people in the US view things exactly like Harris. He's just open about it.

I'll expand a bit on this. I get the sense that a certain section of the American right sees just "being against" immoral things as all that's morally required of them. For example, some are "against" porn on paper but still watch it. They're "against" degeneracy on paper but still participate in it. This guy is a prime example of that toxic mindset.

No, it's NOT good enough to just be "against" evil things while still partaking in them. Catholics and right wingers must LIVE the positions they advocate. Nothing else is acceptable.

Research on suicide and religiosity in recent years has been absolutely definitive. More religious people have lower suicide rates, with Catholics having some of the lowest rates. People who attend Church often also have lower rates than people who don’t.
