1. He says the VP pick has no impact on the race and for this election, I agree with him. I also think this was him opening the door for somebody people might not be expecting. (Threepeat?)

I took it as him being polite, not confirmation of those names actually being on his shortlist. I personally do not believe any of the names mentioned will be his pick - (Desantis, Ramaswamy, Noem, Gabbard, to name a few)
