On 25 March 1005 Malcolm II of Scotland fought and killed the father-and-son rulers of Scotland, Kenneth III of Scotland and his son Giric II of Scotland, a Mormaer. The site of the battle is on the north side of the loch.
King Kenneth's Cairn was built in memory of the son of King Duff, who was killed in the battle of Monzievaird that year and buried on Iona. It stands in a prominent position on the edge of the steep escarpment of Corrie Barvick.

On this day in 1402 the murder takes place in Falkland Palace of David Stewart, 1st Duke of Rothesay, the oldest son of King Robert III of Scotland and heir to the throne. He is killed on the orders of his uncle, Robert Stewart, 1st Duke of Albany.
David Stewart was heir apparent to the throne of Scotland from 1390 and the first Duke of Rothesay from 1398. He was named after his great-granduncle, David II of Scotland.
In late February 1402, while travelling officially to St Andrews, David was arrested just outside the city at Strathtyrum in a sting operation which had been arranged by Albany, at that time in complicit alliance with David's brother-in-law, Archibald, the fourth Earl of Douglas, who was offended with Rothesay for his unfaithfulness to his wife, the sister of Douglas. (David's father-in-law, the highly influential third Earl, had died two years before, in 1400.) The pretext for David's arrest was that the three-year period of his lieutenancy had expired.

The wheels of Scottish justice move extremely slowly, at least when it comes to investigating the SNP it appears.
But maybe we are starting to see some movement, as Police Scotland are now investigating high-value transactions made by the SNP, including over £80,000 in vehicle purchases.
There should be questions being asked about why this investigation into whether £600,000 has been misappropriated by figures inside the SNP has taken so long. The Police have so far failed to interview Sturgeon or her husband, who were in charge of SNP finances. It has to be asked why not.
The SNP is disarray and there is evidence of wrongdoing within its ranks. It is not serving the people of Scotland and its brand of "nationalism" betrays the indigenous population while favouring outsiders.
Scotland needs real nationalism, not this fake nationalism. Join us in making this happen.

On this day in 1625 James the VI/I died at Theobalds House in Hertfordshire and is buried in Westminster Abbey. The position of the tomb was lost for many years until his lead coffin was found in the Henry VII vault, during an excavation in the 19th century.
James VI and I was King of Scotland as James VI from 24 July 1567 and King of England and Ireland as James I from the union of the Scottish and English crowns on 24 March 1603 until his death in 1625. Although he wanted to bring about a closer union, the kingdoms of Scotland and England remained individual sovereign states, with their own parliaments, judiciaries, and laws, both ruled by James in personal union.

The next few years could be interesting, after Yousaf won the race to be the new SNP leader.
Scotland has been in decline under the SNP and now the party have just put a man who has failed in every ministerial position he has held in charge of the country. Even his old school chum and Labour Party leader Sarwar says that he does not think that Yousaf has what it takes to be first minister.
It could be a painful few years ahead for the Scottish people - especially the indigenous population - as Yousaf has in the past declared how unhappy he is that White people are in charge of many aspects of running Scotland.
Yousaf could be facing difficulties within his own party too, with massive disagreement on subjects such as gender recognition and how independence is being handled. After all, only 70% of SNP members bothered to vote and Yousaf only managed to defeat Forbes by 4% at the end of the day.

On this day in 1960 the chepaside Street whiskey bond fire disaster occurred.
The Cheapside Street whisky bond fire in Glasgow on 28 March 1960 was Britain's worst peacetime fire services disaster. The fire at a whisky bond killed 14 fire service and 5 salvage corps personnel.[1] This fire was overshadowed only by a similar fire in James Watt Street (also in Glasgow) on 19 November 1968, when 22 people died.
The warehouse contained over a million gallons of whisky held in 21,000 wooden casks,and 30,000 gallons of rum. As the temperature of the fire increased, some of these casks ruptured, causing a massive boiling liquid expanding vapour explosion (BLEVE) that burst the front and rear walls of the building outwards causing large quantities of masonry to collapse into the street. This collapse instantly killed three firemen in Cheapside Street as well as 11 firemen and five salvagemen who were battling the blaze from the rear of the building in Warroch Street.

Yousaf may have been elected the leader of the SNP yesterday and looks on track to be voted in as First Minister of Scotland by MSPs today.
But it looks like he has a hard job ahead of him with only 25% of people in an IPSOS survey saying that Scotland is heading in the right direction and 50% saying it is going the wrong way.
Yousaf has been previously found in surveys to be unpopular with the Scottish public, polling behind Kate Forbes.
As Yousaf is seen as the "continuity candidate", who will just carry on with Sturgeon's plans, it appears that he will become even less popular with the public as they are finally seeing that Sturgeon's "progressive" agenda was leading Scotland in the wrong direction.
Scotland needs new thinking and new people to lead. It needs nationalism that puts the indigenous population first. Help us create this change. Contact us at [email protected]

Edward I treated Scotland as a feudal vassal state, claiming contributions toward the cost of the defence of England. When he demanded support for his war against France, the Scots responded by forming an alliance with the French, and launched an unsuccessful attack on Carlisle.
On 28 March, Edward passed the river Tweed with his troops and stayed that night at Coldstream. From there he marched on the town of Berwick.
Berwick,was Scotland's most important trading port, second only to London in economic importance in medieval Britain at that point. Its garrison was commanded by William the Hardy, Lord of Douglas, while the besieging party was led by Robert de Clifford, 1st Baron de Clifford. Contemporary accounts of the number slain range from 4,000 to 17,000.The English took the castle, whereupon Douglas surrendered and his life and those of his garrison were spared.

Love her, loathe her, or just don't really care about her, you have to give JK Rowling credit for standing up for what she believes and not being afraid to be labelled with certain names. Many nationalists could take a leaf from her book and stand up for what they believe in public, unafraid of the labels put upon them.
If you ever had any doubts whether the Scottish Government's Gender Recognition Bill is a danger to women and children you just have to look at the numerous cases such as Isla Bryson that have come to light recently. Nearly every transgender person in the Scottish prison system has started their transition after being jailed - a sure sign that they are gaming the system for their own twisted ends.
We should all stand up for women's and children's rights, not just when it comes to the Gender Recognition Bill, but the whole "woke" agenda.
Join us in opposing this and all the other "progressive" rubbish that those in power are trying to push on our nation.

The National Records of Scotland have released their annual list of new baby names.
The boys list makes interesting reading. And it's not because Noah, Jack and Leo sit at the top this year. There are no obvious 'New Scot' names in the top ten! Well until you take into account the variations in spellings and Muhammad/Mohammed etc. moves into 7th place with 259 births.
Demographic change is coming to Scotland. That is obvious. Sadly good names like Kenneth/Kenny were only taken 4 times and Simon 3 times.
Scottish Regional Organiser Si Crane (pictured above) was not impressed.

Notorious "afroweegian" Campbell is in trouble again. This time for being aggressive and shouting at people to shut up during a council meeting in Glasgow. When Labour's Frank McAveety raised a complaint with the SNP Lord Provost about Campbells behaviour and the Provost's lack of action. Campbell invited him to come outside to sort it out.
Campbell is notorious for being aggressive and has been under investigation over financial misdeeds by him and his partner - the SNP MP Anne McLaughlin.
Campbell has in the past used the ridiculous term "afroweegian" to describe himself. He has made a career out of playing the race card and grifting in the "racial" equality, slavery and ethnic minority sphere.
The sooner Campbell loses his seat in the council the better. The people of Glasgow need indigenous representatives, not race baiting grifters like Campbell.
More nationalists need to get involved in local politics and that is PA's aim. Join us in working towards that end.

In Scotland, where the tradition is celebrated over the course of forty-eight hours, April Fool's Day is also known as "April Gowk," "Gowkie Day" or "Hunt the Gowk." "Gowk" is Scottish for "cuckoo" (an emblem of simpletons) and thus, a "gowk" is the butt of any practical joke. The second day of the Scottish April Fool's custom is devoted exclusively to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. This is known as "Taily Day" and the origin of the ever-popular "Kick Me" sign is likely traceable to this observance. The same custom takes place in the Orkney Isles (located just off the Scottish Mainland), where this area's "Tailing Day" is also celebrated on April 2.

Yesterday saw the passing of world champion Scottish boxer Ken Buchanan at the age of 77. Buchanan was Scotland's first undisputed World champion.
Buchanan, who was born and raised in Edinburgh, won his first 33 fights and fought for the last time in 1982. He ended his career with a 61-8 win-loss record.
The boxer won the WBA lightweight title in 1970 by defeating Ismael Laguna in a famous fight in Puerto Rico and added the WBC crown the following year with a victory over Ruben Navarro.
He was stripped of the WBC title for failing to defend it against Pedro Carrasco and then lost the WBA belt when he controversially suffered just a second defeat against the great Roberto Duran.
Buchanan was awarded an MBE in 1972 and a statue of him was unveiled in his home city in 2022.

PA Scotland have been out protesting for two months now with the local community of Erskine against the housing of nearly 200 illegal migrants in the Muthu Glasgow River Hotel.
The passion and perseverance of the people of Erskine is a wonderful thing to behold, and we will be outside that hotel every single Sunday starting at midday until our concerns are listened to, so come on down to show your support.
