Nicola Sturgeon repeats here claim you can be Scottish simply by wanting to live here.

When the election comes round in May, vote tactically to remove the traitorous SNP.

On this day in 1296 the Sack of Berwick Upon Tweed occurred. It was the first significant battle of the first Scottish war of independence.

Edward I treated Scotland as a feudal vassal state, claiming contributions towards the cost of the defence of England. When he demanded military support for his war against France, the Scots responded by forming an alliance with the French, and launched an unsuccessful attack on Carlisle.

On 28 March (the Wednesday in Easter Week), Edward passed the river Tweed with his troops and stayed that night in Scotland at the priory of Coldstream. From there he marched on the town of Berwick.

Berwick was a Royal burgh just north of the border, and was Scotland's most important trading port, second only to London in economic importance in medieval Britain at that point. Berwick is referenced to be called "Alexandria of the North". Edward captured the town and massacred the citizens. The numbers slain range from 4,000 to 17,000 according to various accounts.

New article on the Patriotic Alternative website: Safety or Censorship

The SNP are responsible for the death of or serious harm to as many as 30 people in one week due to their incompetence in running the NHS.

That is the number of people that clinicians estimate will have either died or been seriously harmed due to increasing A&E delays. In the last week over 1,000 people had a wait of 12 hours or more, and one in ten had a wait of 8 hours or more.

Ever since the SNP took control of NHS Scotland it has been in decline due to their mismanagement of the service. They are not capable of managing any of the public services in our nation.

How any more people have to die before people wake up and realise the SNP are failing them and remove them from power?

A 119-page report called the 'Glasgow Slavery Audit' has identified at least eight statues in the city that are claimed to have links to slavery.

One of the most ridiculous claims is about the statue of David Livingstone, a man who spoke out slavery, calling it the "greatest meaness ever perpetrated". The claim is that Livingstone was linked to slavery due to his 'defence' of cotton masters, having worked in a cotton mill from age 10 which had 'likely' used West Indian cotton.

Other figures named in the report include Colin Campbell, William Gladstone, John Moore, James Oswald and Robert Peel Jr. Buildings on the list include Pollok House, Aikenhead House, Haggs Castle, Linn House and Glasgow Academy.

The Council will now have to decide what action it will take. Will we see the history of our city ripped apart to please a small group of virtue signalling justice warriors? The people of Glasgow need to oppose any attempts to tear down statues or rename streets.

Gowk day is the Scottish equivalent of April fools day Gowk is also the word for cuckoo.

Gowk is Scots for cuckoo but is also became the word for a fool. If you were called a huntegowk, then the joke was on you on April 1.

The Gowk Day custom derives in part from young people being led from wood to wood to track the newly arrived Spring cuckoos, with the β€œhunt the gowk” always staged too early for the birds to be found.

Typical Gowk Day pranks evolved from these fool’s errands.

The traditional prank was to ask someone to deliver a sealed message requesting help of some sort.

When the note was opened on delivery, the nature of the errand was revealed. β€œDinna laugh, dinna smile, hunt the gowk another mile,” was the message.

It is believed Gowk’s Day was marked in Scotland from at least 1700, according to accounts.

In the Western Isles, gowk cakes, made from milk, eggs and fruit, were eaten on April 1
ScotRail has today gone back into public ownership with the franchise now being run by an arms-length company owned by the Scottish Government.

Nationalising the service should hopefully bring better services after years of service failures by Abellio. The ownership by a Scottish entity must be more desirable than the previous ownership, which was a company owned by the Dutch national railways and would have seem profits flowing back to The Netherlands.

Though nationalisation is a positive step you have to be wary as the Scottish Government has a horrendous record in running other public services such as CalMac Ferries, the NHS, etc.

The Scottish Government needs to address the massive fares rises that commuters have seen over the last few years, and the drop in services. The rail sector has always been one that has seen much industrial unrest. The SNP will struggle to deal with this but must make sure any deals benefit the rail user. They also need to work with Network Rail to expand the rail network.

With massive increases in gas and electricity prices, rents, house prices, interest rates, council tax and National Insurance, it is a tough time for everyone.

Years ago it was possible for young people to find cheap rents and fly the nest to gain freedom at a young age. That is becoming increasingly difficult. Even more difficult is the having the chance, as many did in the past, to quickly get on the housing ladder with their first purchase. Now for many that is a dream that is looking impossibly hard to fulfil.

Wages, especially for young people taking a first job after school, college or university, are not keeping pace with these rises. Our children face being trapped at home, unable to lead independent lives that allow them to develop as adults, or enter into relationships that will lead to families. Many also cannot afford to live outside the family home and pursue ongoing educational opportunities.

We must tackle this crisis and give our young people the chance of a future.

The start of April 1820 saw the begining of what was called the Radical war or Scottish insurrection.

A Committee of Organisation for Forming a Provisional Government put placards around the streets of Glasgow late on Saturday 1 April, calling for an immediate national strike. On Monday 3 April work stopped in a wide area of central Scotland and a small group marched towards the Carron Company ironworks to seize weapons, but while stopped at Bonnymuir they were attacked by Hussars. Another small group from Strathaven marched to meet a rumoured larger force, but were warned of an ambush and dispersed. Militia taking prisoners to Greenock jail were attacked by local people and the prisoners released. James Wilson of Strathaven was singled out as a leader of the march there, and at Glasgow was executed by hanging, then decapitated. John Baird and Andrew Hardie were similarly executed at Stirling after making short defiant speeches. Twenty other Radicals were sentenced to penal transportation.

The immigration system in this country is totally broken. When someone of African birth can live and work in Scotland for years using an Identification card issued in Sweden to a well-known African politician, something is very wrong.

This was not even found out by an investigation by the British authorities but by an anonymous letter to his employer .

Of course this illegal immigrant is now married to a Scot and will more than likely avoid any serious sanction.

There needs to be a massive overhaul of the immigration system and a expansion of the Border Force to enable it to carry out much more enforcement than it presently does.

The court system always seems to invoke "human rights" so even serious criminals escape being deported. This needs to change now.

Mid Scotland & Fife activists were out in Alloa today spreading the word about the threat of demographic replacement for White Britons.

In all 800 leaflets were distributed in the largest town in Clackmannanshire, which is officially Scotland's smallest county. Sadly it's size has not prevented it seeing the start of demographic change.

Action needs to be taken now to prevent things turning the way they have elsewhere. We only have to look south to Slough, Leicester, Bradford to name but a few, to see that we could become a minority in our own homeland if we don't act now.

The activity has already triggered a little storm on Twitter as the picture shows. Imagine being filled with such a lack of self-worth as this sad individual.

On this day in 1933 two Scots aviators became the first people to fly over the summit of Mount Everest.

Sir Douglas Douglas-Hamilton and David McIntyre were the first aviators to achieve this feat. They took off on an open cabin flight in two aircraft at 8:25 am on 3 April from Lalbalu Airfield and returned at 11:30 marking it as the first successful flight over Everest. It was financed by Lucy, Lady Houston and organized by Stewart Blacker. The pictures that they took aided Edmund Hiliary on his ascent of Everest.

A documentary short film about the flight, Wings Over Everest, won an Oscar for live-action short film.

In the week to 16th January, ten people in Scotland had to wait three days in A&E to be admitted, transferred or discharged

What a shameful reflection on the state of the NHS in Scotland! The SNP trot out their usual excuses"oh, it's Westminster's fault". Which of course is complete rubbish as the NHS is a devolved matter. Oh, but how the SNP like to blame Westminster for all their failings, even if it's a lie

Or the claim that it's because of COVID. Of course the COVID crisis has put extra strain on the NHS but the truth is that the NHS in Scotland has been a failing service ever since the SNP took control of it. They have run what was once a well funded, efficient organisation into the ground, much as they have also done with education

The SNP cannot be trusted with the health of you or your family. They attack the Tories, claiming they want to privatise the NHS, but under the SNP we are seeing a two-tier health service in Scotland, with many people seeking private health care due to the state of the NHS
