A witness at a rape trial has told a jury that the accused, whom she knew through her mosque, told her he could not have raped the alleged victim because “there is no rape within marriage”.
The woman earlier testified that on a visit to Ireland in November 2017 she decided to seek asylum here in order to flee from an arranged marriage in her home country.
She travelled to Dublin to file an application with the International Protection Office. She was told about a particular centre who could help her and a contact in this centre then told her about a mosque in Dublin.

Rape accused denied raping alleged victim saying “there is no rape within marriage”, court hears

A DUBLIN MAN sexually abused his daughter over a seven-and-a-half-year period after first blackmailing her.
The man (55) sent text messages under the guise of being another person to his daughter demanding that she engage in sexual acts with men.
When the victim showed the messages to her father he told her that she would have to do these things because his job was at risk.
The victim did not realise her father was behind everything until, at the age of 21, she found a DVD recording of the first time she was sexually abused by her father while she was wearing a blindfold.
The woman waived anonymity so "the world will now know who he is and what he has done." Justice Michael White said that reporting restrictions apply “for the moment”.

Bumble bees are going extinct.
Irish honeybees are also under threat by imports of foreign bees — usually hybrid Buckfast or Italian bees.
The native Irish bee is a subspecies of the European honey bee which has evolved over thousands of years to thrive in our very specific climatic and vegetational conditions.
The Dark European Honeybee is on the brink of extinction over most of Northern Europe due to hybridisation with imported bees as well as being severely impacted by imported pests and diseases like varroa.
Pure strains still exist throughout Ireland however.
The mating of bees cannot be controlled, so imported bees mate with Irish bees. Subsequent hybridised generations are genetically screwed up so any observable useful traits are no longer heritable in any predictable way. They also tend to be more aggressive.
If the importation of bees was banned today, the characteristics of the native Irish bee would allow it to thrive while the imported strains would eventually fizzle out.

More 'irrelevant' details about the background of the latest round of finance fraudsters in the Irish Times Today (which you know Conor Pope hates).

>On Thursday morning teams of gardai moved in on addresses in Cork, Tipperary and Roscommon and arrested five men. Of the men detained, four are from Romania and one is from Nigeria.
>Gardai suspect the Romanian men were working for Nigerians based across the Republic, though the precise relationship between the men was still under investigation.

Amanullah De Sondy and John McGuirk discuss our new hate-crime/hate speech legislation.
De Sondy is the homosexual Pakistani from Glasgow who they made head of the Religions Department in Cork University and previously told us Ireland needs more brown people on TV to prevent Muslims from killing us.
He doesn't say anything thoughtful so you can skip to 6:22. He supports the laws because he says it will protect the marginalised and those most on the receiving end of hate.
Nobody is more marginalised or on the receiving end of more hate than nationalists but they're not mentioned in this legislation so he's wrong.
McGuirk makes the point that the laws are classist. He reasons that a middle class politician will be astute enough to avoid running a foul of the laws where someone less educated might not be despite both fundamentally arguing for the same thing.
He uses the example of voicing opposition to a Traveller halting site.
Boylan takes calls but couldn't find anyone who supports the laws.

Here's a short clip of McGuirk from the above discussion:
"What's happening here very clearly —you can see it internationally— is that this is a bad law that is being used to impose a political agenda where certain groups cannot be criticised and certain groups can be criticised.
"For example I promise you it will be a million years before a socialist politician who describes Catholic priests as paedophile apologists will be brought up on hate crime legislation in this country, because this law is not designed to protect everybody equally.
"It is about putting a ring fence around certain people and certain groups that she thinks deserve extra political protection.
"The purpose of this law is to put in place a chilling effect to try and make people think maybe I shouldn't write that, maybe I shouldn't say that. Maybe I shouldn't express my opinion in a particular way in case I am punished by law and sent to prison for saying, thinking or writing that."
(Notice he keeps calling De Sondy a she)

Shitlibs keep saying we need to welcome all migrants and increase the construction of energy-efficient, low-footprint housing that meet all the green criteria Goldman Sachs, Wall Street investors and billionaires have decided upon (and who agree with them on the migrants).
What some shitlibs didn't seem to realise was that this housing would only be a slight upgrade to what you'd typically expect to find in a Supermax solitary confinement cell. Now they're whining after seeing the pictures.
This is a top-down view of one of the 267 units that they're building at a seven story co-habitation development planned for the site of Phibsborough Shopping Centre in Dublin.
They say the housing units are for students but what they really mean is they're for the Brazilian and Chinese wage slaves who the elite use to undermine our labour market and inflate our housing costs with.
I think we should keep them because when we get into power, everyone who supported open borders is living in them until they apologise.

>A new report has confirmed that senior Irish doctors are undergoing “international training” in a controversial late-term abortion method known as Dilation and Evacuation, with a view to carrying out such abortions in this country.
>Dilation and Evacuation is a gruesome late-term abortion method used for unborn babies up to 6 months gestation. The woman’s cervix is dilated and the baby is removed piece by piece using a combination of suction and curettes and forceps. The procedure can take up to 30 min, according to Human Reproductive Biology.
>Before the 2018 referendum on the repeal of the pro-life 8th amendment, politicians and Yes campaigners lined up to insist that late-term abortions would not be carried out in Ireland. They repeatedly attacked pro-life messaging which showed that the proposed legislation had, in fact, been written to allow for late-term abortion.

Cheddar Man comes to Ireland.
Just to be clear, they don't have any DNA evidence from 33,000 year old human remains. They have reindeer bones with cut marks indicating they were butchered with stone tools that many years ago.
They've previously been able to analyse the DNA of infant remains estimated to be 6,000 years found in the Burren so it's possible this documentary is making the assumption the baby was related to whomever might have butchered the deer. I haven't watched the documentary and the report isn't very clear.
Truth is, the science on the DNA of prehistoric humans in Europe is fudgy as this New Scientist article pointed out after Cheddar Man headlines made the rounds and they don't know for certain what eye colour or skin tone these people had.
What is clear is the primary reason they dispense with caution are the implications about race and immigration they are trying to force and because they get to use Africans with blue contact lenses in a show about Irish history.
