🇦🇺 A very important clip. Digest it well because this isn't just happening in Australia.

👁 In summary, children are collectively being used as the thin end of the wedge that has the strong potential to morph into something highly authoritarian for us all.

BREAKING: Trump officially announces Marco Rubio as Secretary of State AND Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence

The fact that they were announced back to back after days of speculation (and backlash) over Rubio is no coincidence…

Why the Guardian is no longer posting on X - The Guardian - 13-11-2024

"We will stop posting from our official editorial accounts on the platform, but X users can still share our articles.

We wanted to let readers know that we will no longer post on any official Guardian editorial accounts on the social media site X (formerly Twitter). We think that the benefits of being on X are now outweighed by the negatives and that resources could be better used promoting our journalism elsewhere.

This is something we have been considering for a while given the often disturbing content promoted or found on the platform, including far-right conspiracy theories and racism. The US presidential election campaign served only to underline what we have considered for a long time: that X is a toxic media platform and that its owner, Elon Musk, has been able to use its influence to shape political discourse."

OpenMindsInc.:🤡 What are the benefits they are referring to and what are the negatives from The Guardian's point of view?
The Guardian boycotting because they don't feel that they are making a difference on X?? Have they had to go through multiple Social Media managers that have all resigned??
How strange for a news agency to quit
... Perhaps it's to give more credibility to X and a belief that Elon is the saviour?
Also seem to be showing support for online censorship.
Dog-free zones needed to make outdoors less racist, Welsh Government told - The Telegraph 13-11-2024

"The report by the environmental group Climate Cymru BAME advises, as part of a suite of proposals, that authorities should create “dog-free areas in local green spaces”.

The reason for this is not elaborated on in the report, which will be used by the Welsh Government to “support policy teams” who are “developing and implementing” anti-racist plans for Wales.

The report was part of a call for evidence to assess “racism relating to climate change, environment, and rural affairs”, in order to steer how green spaces can be made to align with the Labour’s 2022 Anti-Racist Wales Action Plan.

On the basis of reports provided to date, the Welsh Government has concluded that ethnic minorities face “barriers” to the outdoors created by “exclusions and racism”.

Barriers to outdoor activities includes the perception that growing food in gardens or allotments is an activity “dominated by middle-aged white women”.

@PalestineDeclassified
This is an interesting one from the UN.

The language of "Did you know?" is usually used to point out interesting facts of the past. In this post, it is used as a "future fact" followed by numbers making it sound scientific, true, real and authoritative.

It gives you the sense that "it just is". Nice little manipulation there to make it sound inevitable and lowering your intellectual guard and to just accept it.

The learned helplessness from the population is also real with comments such as: "Well, it is what it is. What can I do about it?"

The last part: "Goal 11 is all about making those cities more sustainable, resilient and inclusive" is somehow making it sound nice to people.

Pentagon fails 7th audit in a row, unable to fully account for $824B budget - FoxNews - 17-11-2024

The Pentagon failed its seventh consecutive audit on Friday as the agency was unable to fully account for its massive $824 billion budget, though officials were confident the Department of Defense "has turned a corner" in understanding its budgetary challenges going forward.

The audits resulted in a disclaimer of opinion, which means auditors were provided with insufficient information to form an accurate opinion of the accounts.

Of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) 28 reporting entities that had standalone audits, 9 received an unmodified audit opinion, 1 received a qualified opinion, 15 received disclaimers, and 3 opinions remain pending, the Pentagon said.

But with the goal of achieving a clean audit by 2028, Michael McCord, Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) and Chief Financial Officer, said the agency "has turned a corner in its understanding of the depth and breadth of its challenges."

"Momentum is on our side, and throughout the Department there is strong commitment—and belief in our ability—to achieve an unmodified audit opinion," he said in a statement.

The objective of earning an unmodified audit opinion is mandated by the National Defense Authorization Act.

McCord told reporters at a briefing on Friday that he would not say that the agency "failed" as it had "about half clean opinions."

"So if someone had a report card that is half good and half not good, I don’t know that you call the student or the report card a failure," he said
.

Independent public accountants and the DoD Office of Inspector General closely examined the financial statements for the audit.

McCord emphasized in a statement that the path to a clean audit is clear.

"Significant work remains and challenges lie ahead, but our annual audit continues to be a catalyst for Department-wide financial management reform, resulting in greater financial integrity, transparency, and better-supported warfighters," he said.

OpenMindsInc.: 🤡🤡🤡 I posted a summary of the unaccounted money reports on 3rd January 2023. In 2022, it was an estimated average of $6 out of $10 that was unaccounted for. Last year and this year the media didn't give any details as to the unaccounted amounts ... More than likely the money has been used to fund illegal and unethical activities around the world such as biolabs in mainly corrupt and poor nations.
