For any of you that 3D print on a regular basis as I do I strongly suggest you stockpile filament because I have watched the prices of it go up almost 30% in the last month. I print a lot of things for around the house out of convenience. I strongly believe a 3D printer should be part of a preppers kit especially when they're going to stay at home or hunker down one of the plastics that you may want to get accustomed to is petg is readily available it's what most water bottles have made of soda bottles and so forth so in the event you had to actually make your own you would be able to be prepared to use it specifically. P e t g is not supposed to be UV safe however I've printed items that have been outside as long as ASA filament and had zero warpage and zero color change a lot of parts have been out there for over a year. Just a word of advice because there's really not much you can't create when you have all the time in the world because you're not going anywhere.

Tearing down the old barn. Had considered pulling all the tin off it and just putting a roof back on. Alas 9 out of 15 posts are rotting off at the ground. Time to take it down on my terms.

You know one of the things I'm debating right now in a building that is similar to that is putting concrete posts underneath every single wooden post and just raising the barn slightly

You know if you do it one post at a time dig a hole put one of those cardboard cylinders in the ground fill it with concrete you could get it done and cut it all the way off to the rotted section but it depends on how high The Rotten wood goes

I'm adding 2 more batteries to my system and its time to update my bussbar setup. I looked at the Victron Lynx system and it's very nice but only allows 4 battery inputs per module. Since it uses 8x30mm bus bars, that's good enough for me. So I'll be 3d printing some brackets. All of this is 500mm (18") long. Also it'll have covers which my current shunt/bar does not have.

Also of note... Anderson makes "Power poles". These are a genderless high current connector. Been using 30amp versions of them on my ham gear since the 90's. They also make larger form factors up to 300amps. For my system, since I have so many batteries, no single battery will ever see more than 60amps, I'll use the SB120 120amp connectors.

For you, subtract one battery from your system and take the total wattage of your inverter and spread it to the remaining batteries. This will determine the max amps for any one battery.
