Horror story today. A buddy has a friendly rivalry between he and one of his neighbors about solar. My buddy started with a few 100w panels and has expanded. The neighbor got a professionally installed grid tie system. His daughter said something about water in the drywall of her bedroom. Then he noticed water in the livingroom ceiling. Got in the attic next day and found the joists rotted and mold everywhere. Servpro at his house now tearing off the entire roof structure. I have not verified that his install was done by titan but I've seen a few titan systems and they never use flashing on the racking system. They shoot a screw and seal with caulk.

Question for the group... cleaning out a barn on the far side of the property. Its been a rats nest and storage for decades. My grandparents moved here from NYC in the 1950's and brought a lot of furniture with them. 10 years ago I cleaned out a bunch a all in one stove/waterheater/sinks from the 1930's that had rusted to bits in the crates new. Anyway this past weekend, we burned old sofas and lots and lots of seat cushions. In the fire pile I'm finding several 12"x12" white sheets of woven fabric that didnt' burn. Some pieces seem to have melted into a lump, but most of them remain flexible. When the fire cools down I'll have a better look. What are the odds that these were asbestos sheets inside the cushions?

I'm riding around mowing and thinking. No one takes the time to ponder things in this day of instant entertainment. Up until the late 1800's western civilization used to build things from stone. Two years ago I rode thru southern Pennsylvania on my way to Reading... I saw 100 year old brick houses. But look out our houses today! Made for ever cheaper materials (particularly American homes). So in 500 years or even in 10,000 years when some future generation is digging they will find these stone homes and stone train stations but they will not find ipads or books. Our photos don't exist on paper anymore ,they are all digitized on a USB drive that won't last 15 years. Lacking any evidence of pretty much anything from 1900 onward, these future archeologists will marvel at the stone structures we built and never realize all the computer stuff we do today. Our last 100-150 years will be lost to time.

Now let that simmer in your brain for a moment and think about the pryamids.... we don't know who built them nor how. We don't know how advanced that society became when it collapsed on itself. All we have to look back on are the stone structures that survived.

Sequatchie Cove Farm doesn’t just raise cattle! They also have a thriving chicken business producing around 300 dozen eggs a day!

4,000 chickens might sound big - but the way the Keeners raise their flock is very different from the industrial chicken operations with hundreds of thousands of chickens.

By following behind grazing ruminants, and moving frequently, the Keeners are providing healthy food for their community while building deep, healthy soils.

When you support local farmers directly, you allow them to work with nature - that’s good for everyone!
