MicroG General Info
MicroG is an opensource alternative to Gapps, it offers more privacy, control and battery
Some microg pack installers include the basics to get it all working easily:
- MicroG
- DroidGuard Helper
- Mozilla Nlp
- WiFi Location
- Play Store
- Contact & Calendar Sync

MicroG only works with roms that support signature spoofing, some are listed here:

If the rom you want to use isn't on that list, you have two options:
- You can use the NanoDroid patcher to add support from twrp. Get it here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-nanomod-5-0-20170405-microg-t3584928
- You can use Tingle to modify the rom on your PC. Get it here:
https://github.com/ale5000-git/tingle
Both patchers need a deodexed rom in order to work.
Installation Guide
If your current rom contains Play Services, you should do a clean install
- Put your rom file and the latest MicroG package in your sdcard and restart into recovery
- Wipe cache, dalvik, system and data
- Install your rom and microG
- Boot into the rom, run microG settings and setup according to the guide below
Extra steps for packs that contain the Play store
- Run the Play store, enter username and password (it won't login but that's ok)
- Restart into the rom and re-run the Play store. Kill it and re run
- If you still have issues, check permissions according to the guide bellow
Generally, newer MicroG packs can be installed over older ones without issues

GCM Sync Fix for AdAway Users
Please whitelist these 2 hosts via AdAway Your Lists -> WHITE:
- mtalk.google.com
- *.mtalk.google.com
Then go back to main AdAway menu and redownload the hosts (click DOWNLOAD FILES AND APPLY AD BLOCKING)
It's required by GCM (previously known as GTalk Service) to sync data from your phone to Google Servers which sometimes got blocked by AdAway host sources.
