It seems like western liberals have had some sort of memo that tells them to use the term ''Russian state TV'' whenever talking about Russian news. The purpose is to conjure images of a police state with no free press or media. By implication the ''free west'' is superior because Silicon Valley and corporations are so dedicated to truth and holding the powerful (themselves?) to account.

This is of course completely absurd, but we see once again the ''Great Cope of Liberalism'' wherein people think they're free, being told the truth and have plucky journalists scaring billionaires, when of course it's simply not true, it's a lie western liberals tell themselves, a lie that people who know their media is state propaganda don't have to deal with.

I’m going to start and unsub from YouTube channels that don’t have ads that don’t automatically end within 20 seconds.

The YouTube ad model that makes you click to rid yourself of the ads is deeply insidious because it’s designed to keep you by the computer browsing and opening tabs.

It’s Big Tech’s way of saying:

“Where do you think you’re going?”

The incentive structure is crafted to keep you in their realm, you can’t just put music on and have it passive in the background, you must engage, forever.
