“What’s the point of claiming to hold to traditional catholic ideas and morals if you don’t actually follow them in your daily life?
This seems remarkably prevalent in the traditional movement. I don’t mean to offend anyone or accuse anyone of anything, but you must live by what you believe; if you rightfully believe in traditional morality and social politics...
...don’t go about dressed immodestly at any time (this is for women AND men); be an example of charity and virtue for those around you; pray the Rosary; forsake all obscene language (including breaking the second commandment); study the faith só you can help others; etc
What’s the point of denouncing Vatican II (rightfully) and then adhering to modernist ways of thinking? What’s the point of not going to Mass every time you can “because you don’t feel like it”? What’s the point of calling out others for not being trad when you don’t live it?
In short: what’s the point of believing in the Truth if you don’t follow it Virtuously? Do you know how many people never convert to Traditional Catholicism because they see us as all mouth and no substance?
It’s important to intellectually reject modernity and all that entails it.
But it is necessary that people take the next step; that they not only adhere to Tradition in their mind, but that they embrace it with their hearts and live it, to give the world examples of Holiness.”

Reminder too that people are hardly converted by reason, they are converted by example. Our Lord did not gain most of his followers by engaging in lengthy discussions on philosophy and theology, but by His Saintly example.

Happy and blessed New Year!
"The palm of glory is reserved for the one who fights bravely to the end. Let us begin, then, this year, our holy combat. God will assist us and will crown us with an eternal triumph" (Epistole,IV, p.879). Padre Pio.Forwarded from 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒖𝒈𝒍𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒔

If you think that what’s happening to you and the world in this lifetime, just take a moment to think about how bad hell would be for eternity. Once you realise this, your whole mindset will change in relation to your faith. Constantly meditate on the pains of hell and the joys of heaven if you’re struggling with your faith, it will help. Just goes to show how malicious mortal sin really is. This is ETERNITY we are talking about here, not your life on earth. Get right with God before it’s too late. He could come at any time and you could die at any time.

Catechism of St. Pius X
873. (32) What should a Christian do who has been given a Bible by a Protestant or by an agent of the Protestants?
A. A Christian to whom a Bible has been offered by a Protestant or an agent of the Protestants should reject it with disgust, because it is forbidden by the Church. If it was accepted by inadvertence, it must be burnt as soon as possible or handed in to the Parish Priest.
874. (33) Why does the Church forbid Protestant Bibles?
A. The Church forbids Protestant Bibles because, either they have been altered and contain errors, or not having her approbation and footnotes explaining the obscure meanings, they may be harmful to the Faith. It is for that same reason that the Church even forbids translations of the Holy Scriptures already approved by her which have been reprinted without the footnotes approved by her.

MEDITATION ACCORDING TO THE MISSAL
It is one of the most effective means to live a life of solid piety (3). An incomparable manual of meditations is the Missal, which proposes the same word inspired by God, in its most select passages, distributed according to the seasons of the year and the feasts of the Saints. It is the best school to learn the true Christian spirit, to live and to feel with the Church.
In order to serve you profitably, follow this method:
I. Prepare the Mass of the day and look at the main points of it.
2. Read one or both of these points (the Gospel Epistle) slowly and reflect on its meaning and teachings, choosing two or three of the maxims or main thoughts that have moved you the most.
3. Apply them to yourself, asking yourself: What does the Lord teach me here? How have I practiced it up to the present? What should I do to observe it from now on? What means should I use? What things should I avoid? What will I do today?
4. For talks and petitions, use the Prayers of the Mass, praying them with pause.
5. As a spiritual flower look at some of the thoughts from the Introit, Gradual, Offertory and Communion, to remember them during the day.
6. During the Mass, continue with the feelings of meditation, and apply them to obtain the fruits of the meditation.
-(3) Doing it for at least a quarter of an hour, Indulgence of 5 years; plenary a month, cond.
