It was wrong, as far as I'm aware.
I strongly apologize, the source was not very good as I'm not an expert on France matters

- 🇪🇬/🇮🇱 JUST IN: Egypt refuses to reduce the amount of active troops and police officers in the Sinai peninsula
This comes after an Israeli request to reduce the amount of military forces in sectors A and B, and the police officers in zone C, the zone which is right on the Israeli border where military troops are prohibited.
According to Egyptian analysts, as many as 40.000 Egyptian troops are currently stationed in the Sinai peninsula, more than three times the permitted contingency size according to the Camp David Accords.
Reportedly, some Egyptian troops are even stationed in zone C, which would be a clear violation of the Camp David Accords, with Israel doubting its validity more and more.
