❗️🇮🇷/🇦🇪 NEW: Iran targeted another Emirati oil tanker this morning, per Al-Jazeera

That’s the 4th tanker belonging to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) targeted just this week.

Since last week, the UAE has not exported a single barrel of oil by sea. The equation seems to be if Iran doesn’t sell oil, neither will the Arabs.

🇮🇷 Iran’s Supreme National Security Council:

‘Until America corrects its behavior, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened.

Correcting behavior means:

1. Never threaten Iran with any language nor insult the sanctities of this nation.

2. End the war and aggression against Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq permanently.

3. Lift the naval blockade and withdraw U.S. naval and air forces from the area surrounding Iran.

4. Pay the damages for the two aggressive wars imposed against Iran.

5. Lift the cruel and illegal sanctions against the Iranian nation.

6. Release the frozen and stolen assets of the Iranian people unconditionally.

These are the demands of the Iranian people who have been relentlessly present in the squares and streets for 160 days.

The Supreme National Security Council will never back down; whether in war or in negotiations.‘

I think I said this before, but I will say it again because it’s so noteworthy.

The fact that Yemen is now casually hitting Aramco refineries in retaliation for Saudi drones just entering their airspace, is an insane equation.

🇮🇷 NEW: Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, met with Iran’s new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei last week, to discuss important issues of the country

The meeting, which took place on the starting date of Pezeshkian’s 3rd year as President, is the second meeting held between the two, and showcases that Mojtaba continues to be actively involved in day-to-day matters despite security concerns.

🇮🇷 NOTE: Despite all circulating reports, it has NOT yet been confirmed that the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, has been replaced by IRGC Major General Mohsen Rezaei

This news first appeared about three days ago, it was then denied. Yesterday, Zolqadr issued a statement as SNSC Secretary, confirming he is still in his position.

Today, ISNA and Tasnim both suddenly reported ‘based on sources’ that Zolqadr has been replaced by Rezaei—and then quickly deleted their posts.

If the SNSC Secretary is replaced, it will be announced clearly and officially by Iran’s media. And it may happen, but for now it’s all rumors.

❗️🇮🇷 BREAKING: In an executive order, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed IRGC Maj. Gen. Mohsen Rezaei as one of his two representatives in the Supreme National Security Council

Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr will remain Secretary of the SNSC, as the Secretary is appointed by the President, Masoud Pezeshkian.

However, Zolqadr will lose his ‘representative of the Supreme Leader’ status, meaning he will no longer have voting powers.

❗️🇮🇷 BREAKING: In an executive order, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed IRGC Maj. Gen. Mohsen Rezaei as one of his two representatives in the Supreme National Security Council Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr will remain Secretary of the SNSC…
— NOTE: In Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, the Secretary is appointed directly by the Chairman (President Masoud Pezeshkian) and does not have voting powers.

However, most previous Secretaries like Larijani and Shamkhani have simultaneously been ‘Supreme Leader’s Representative’ in the SNSC, which grants them voting powers. Essentially, it’s two separate positions that are usually combined.

A few days ago, the current Secretary of the SNSC, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, offered his resignation to President Pezeshkian and Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Pezeshkian did not accept Zolqadr’s resignation, meaning he will remain the Secretary. But Khamenei did accept his resignation as Supreme Leader’s Representative, and replaced him with IRGC Brigadier General Mohsen Rezaei.

In summary, Zolqadr remains the SNSC Secretary but no longer has voting powers—those have been transferred to Rezaei, a more hardline (and somewhat controversial) general.

🇮🇷 Who is Mohsen Rezaei, new Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council?

– Major General Mohsen Rezaei was the IRGC Commander-in-Chief from 1981 to 1997, including most of the Iran-Iraq war.

– He ran as a conservative Presidential candidate in 2009, 2013, and 2021, losing each time.

– He is known for his hardline views and has made numerous controversial statements. In 2025 he famously claimed that if Iran was nuked by Israel, Pakistan promised that it would nuke Israel in response.

– Despite his controversial and sometimes laughable statements, he is a staunch supporter of the Islamic Revolution and one of the most loyal allies of Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, favoring a ‘language of force’ in dealing with the United States.
