The WSJ reported that the UAE carried out strikes, so now Saudi Arabia probably feels like it needs to announce something too, to avoid looking weak.

Anyone can claim ‘unpublicized strikes in Iran’ without evidence to back it up. At least for the Emiratis we had visual imagery to confirm it and an Iranian response that matches the claim.

The statement says Kuwait’s government is using the case of 4 Iranian citizens for political and propaganda purposes.

According to Iran, these people were Iranian officials who were on a routine maritime patrol/coastal guard mission, but because of a navigation-system disruption, they entered Kuwaiti territorial waters.
