Iran and U.S. will negotiate, Israel will attack at some point either during the negotiations or shortly after they've been concluded, then the U.S. will say 'oh well, we tried diplomacy' and Trump can justify entering the war to protect Israel, America's greatest ally.

There will be a heavy round of fighting, likely worse than the 12-Day War, but regime change won't occur. The U.S. will try as much as possible to conduct attacks from their fleets and aircraft carriers to avoid provoking Iranian retaliation against U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf.

At the end of it all, thousands of Iranians will be dead, the Strait of Hormuz will likely be blocked, and the U.S. will sign an uneasy truce with Iran. Then the process of waiting for another round of fighting will start all over.

At least, that's my closest guess to what's going to happen. But politics is a strange business. You never really know.
