Microsoft is releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25131 to the Dev Channel. The official announcement doesn't claim any new feature. It only includes various fixes, and a new version of the Microsoft Store app.
The latter has been updated to version 22205.1401.3.0 with improvements for ARM64. Also, the running apps, when installing updates from the Store, won't close automatically. So you won't lose your work.

Along with Windows 11, Windows 10 has got a new version of the KB5014023 patch in the Release Preview channel. It also delivers several fixes, and raises the OS version to Build 19044.1741.

🐞 A vulnerability allows running a Windows search from MS Office files without user interaction
There is a new zero-day vulnerability in Windows Search that allows opening a malformed search window, say with remotely-hosted malware executables. Combined with a flaw in Microsoft Office OLEObject, it allows bypassing Protected View launching URI protocol handlers without user interaction, including Windows Search.
💡Before Microsoft releases a fix for this vulnerability, the user can simply unregister the search protocol. Backup the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\search-ms registry key, then remove it.

Microsoft has finally released KB5014023 to stable Windows 10 users. Currently an optional "C" patch, it has been available in Release Preview channel for
Windows 11 version 23H2 references appear as "Sun Valley 3" in the latest SDK
They can be found in the network driver header and NT Device Driver Interface definitions. All Windows 11 versions have a different code name. For example, the 21H2 version is codenamed Cobalt and Sun Valley. The 22H2 version is Nickel and Sun Valley 2, and the 23H2 version is Copper and Sun Valley 3.
Don't be confused with these. Cobalt, Nickel, and Copper are platform codenames, while "Sun Valley"s refers to the system's user interface.
You can expect Microsoft to sign the RTM build of Sun Valley 3 somewhere around May 2023, with the public release in the fall of that year.

This release comes with native support for ARM64. It is using WinUI 3 in Power Rename, that makes it look modern and stylish. Among other changes, Keyboard Manager now supports up to 4 modifier keys for shortcuts.
It also included updated binaries and runtime of Windows App SDK 1.1.0. The latter is the most recent version of SDK that fixes Powertoys Settings which couldn't open when running elevated. The updated SDK should also resolve certain installation issues.

Looks like someone forgot to adjust the settings for version Windows 11 22H2. So the update offer to appeared on unsupported devices, i.e. on devices that don't meet minimum hardware requirements.
ℹ️Users report that they see the offer even on aged devices from 2014 and 2008(!). Surprisingly, the installation process completes successfully, without any errors. The OS is working perfectly fine.
The Windows Insider team has already made an announcement that this behavior is a bug. It will be fixed soon. If you accepted the offer, you now have 10 days to roll back Windows 11 and return to Windows 10.

A new information from OEMs reveals the intention of the Redmond firm to eliminate classic HDD-powered PCs from the market. Instead, new PCs with Windows 11 must use SSDs as the boot device. The deadline for the change is set somewhere in 2023.
For the storage device, Windows 11 only has the 64 GB or larger storage device requirement, without mentioning that it must be of the SSD type. However, some of the recent additions to Windows 11, including the Android subsystem, require SSD to be installed and available for use. The same is for DirectStorage.
Perhaps due to Microsoft's pressure on OEMs, most PCs that offer a hard drive option will become dual-drive devices, with SSD for the OS and HDD as a secondary drive. Obviously, there will be some price increase, but it will be notably in the lower-end machine segment of the market.

Two major changes in this build.
🗂 Tabs in File Explorer are enabled by default. It also features a reworked left area (navigation pane) with three sections. The top one hosts Home and OneDrive, the middle one lists pinned and frequent folders, and the bottom-most is for classic icons like This PC, Network, etc.
🌤 The weather widget is now not the only one which appears in the taskbar. Windows 11 will rotate the info from weather, stocks, and news in the left taskbar corner.
Microsoft is rolling out these changes gradually. Don't get surprised if you don't see them after upgrading to this build.
