Yeah, people like to be told what to do. The Italian Constitution clearly states that sovereignty belongs to the people... But instead of applying that sovereignty, people prefer to act as subjects... It's "easier" I guess.
But, as you said, for example... The flu is gone and no one has been able to give me a plausible or an acceptable explanation, after I showed them that:
- it can't be because of masks
- nobody is practicing social distancing (plus, I have a feeling 6ft is a totally arbitrary number XD)
- it can't be because more people got the flu shot, cuz (at least in Italy) we probably didn't even vaccinate 60% of the population (and in any case it couldn't have happened before March 2020. Not in Italy at least. That's 36 million people to vaccinate in the first 3 months, come on now)
- if it were determined by the fact that Covid is more contagious (there would be kind of a "virus competition" in a sense), I still would not think that Covid outcompeting the flu would cause it to completely disappear all of a sudden (in February/March 2020 it literally went from 100 to 0... That's a lil more than outcompeting imo).

A lot of sheeple probably still think I'm an idiot, yet not a single person has given me an appropriate explanation so far... Wonder why
