This country feels sick beyond belief, and what scares me most is how many people still refuse to question what has happened over the last seven years. They’ve been shown enough, yet so many still choose comfort, obedience and the illusion of normality over asking the uncomfortable questions.

The real tragedy is that it won’t be the people pulling the strings who pay the greatest price. It will be our children and future generations who inherit the consequences of decisions they never made.

One day they may look back at this moment and ask, “Why didn’t you stand up? Why didn’t you question it? Why did you let it happen?”
