Babug Jankhot

Here is the story of «The Song of the Little Dzhankhot, the Son of Babug» (found in the historical music archive in Nalchik and restored by Zuber Euaz): Circassia, the beginning of the 19th century. The Russian Empire encroaches into the Circassian lands. The best sons of Circassia defend their homeland. The entire generations of Circassians are born and die under the sign of war. Bloody battles also take place in the upper reaches of the Baksan River. Dzhanhot Tsiku (the Little) the son of Babug, just like an epic Nart from the ancient Circassian Nart Sagas, heroically fights the enemy on the battlefield until his tragic death
