Need help with troubleshooting a new ssd
I recently had my hard drive corrupt in my msi raider ge76 laptop, so I scrounged some money together and got a new ssd. I got it put in, but the bios isnt reading the ssd. I tried putting windows and the irsd driver on one flash drive and assumed id be able to just smack it into the laptop and call it a day. That didnt work. I called msi support and they said I need the intel irsd driver and windows on seperate flash drives and I need both put onto the laptop. Am I being bullshitted, did I do something incorrectly? Please lmk.

Msi GF63 thin 11sc stopped charging and died.
Basically the title, started two nights ago after i dropped my charger then tried to plug in and i wouldn’t get a charging icon. tried to use another charger but still no use, now its dead and i have no way to charge it. any ideas what it could be? the charger i dropped was a replacement charger since the original one that came with the laptop tore at the tip. the replacement charger was dropped from the top of a bunk bed. my laptop wasn’t plugged in when i dropped the charger ive had the replacement charger for about two years now. i use my laptop very frequently and almost always plugged in while in a cool area with a laptop cooler on. could it be a charging port issue? ive tried a new lower wattage charger but no luck again. sorry for the brick of text

Ram Upgrade Help
Hi. I just got my MSI vector 16 hx ai today. And I need to upgrade from 2x8 GB OF RAM, TO 2x16GB ram. I've been finding conflicting information about if 5600 is enough and what CL number it needs. So I was wondering if this would work? Any help is appreciated 😅😭

MSI Bravo 15 fans maxing
MSI Bravo 15 C7VE - Fans suddenly max out, FPS drops from \~100 to 20–30, temps are normal, only reboot fixes it
I’ve been troubleshooting this for a while and I’m running out of ideas.
Laptop:
MSI Bravo 15 C7VE
RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
Ryzen 7 (C7VE model)
The problem
The laptop starts out completely normal.
I can launch a game and performance is perfect at first.
Then, after playing for a while (used to happen after about one match, the fans instantly ramp to over 6000 RPM and my FPS immediately drops from around 80 FPS to 20–30 FPS.
The FPS drop is instant, not gradual.
Once it happens:
Performance never recovers.
Fans stay at maximum speed.
The only thing that fixes it is rebooting the laptop.
Temperatures
The weird part is the temperatures are completely normal.
I’ve monitored everything with HWiNFO and MSI Center.
Typical temperatures after the issue occurs:
CPU: \~40–50°C
GPU: \~35–50°C
GPU Hotspot: high 80°C
Memory Junction: \~48°C
HWiNFO also reports:
No CPU thermal throttling
No PROCHOT
No obvious overheating
So the laptop behaves like it’s overheating even though the temperatures are nowhere near high enough.
Things I’ve already tried
Updated BIOS from E158NAMS.113 to E158NAMS.115
EC reset (power off, unplugged, held power button for 60 seconds)
Completely uninstalled MSI Center
Windows reset
Clean installation of the latest NVIDIA driver
Tested multiple games (The Finals and Planet Zoo)
Monitored temperatures with HWiNFO
Verified there is no CPU thermal throttling
Verified CPU/GPU temperatures remain normal
Tested with both my replacement 200W MSI charger and the original 200W MSI charger (same behavior)

MSI Cyborg 15 A12VE - Random black screen/restart after FurMark/GCS test, Intel UHD instability after motherboard replacement
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help because I've spent the last couple of days troubleshooting this with an MSI technician.
Laptop:
MSI Cyborg 15 A12VE
Intel Core i7-12650H
NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
Windows 11
Background
My laptop originally had an RTX 4050 issue, so MSI replaced the entire motherboard.
After the motherboard replacement:
The internal laptop speakers have never worked again (headphones work fine).
I'm getting graphics-related instability.
Current issue
The GCS diagnostic runs FurMark.
The FurMark stress test itself completes successfully:
RTX 4050 reaches \~95 FPS on charger.
GPU temperature stays around 70°C.
No artifacts or graphical corruption.
However, immediately after FurMark finishes:
Sometimes GCS throws Run-time error 55: "File already open".
Then the screen goes black.
The laptop restarts by itself (no BSOD).
Intel UHD Graphics behavior
This is the weird part.
If I disable Intel UHD Graphics in Device Manager:
Windows becomes much more stable.
Random restarts mostly stop.
If I enable Intel UHD Graphics:
Windows starts randomly restarting again.
Sometimes it restarts within a few minutes.
I also tried uninstalling the Intel graphics driver completely so Windows used the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, but the laptop still restarted after several minutes.
Things I've already tried
Windows Update (fully updated)
SFC /scannow
DISM /RestoreHealth
BIOS reset to defaults
Official MSI Intel graphics driver
Official MSI chipset driver
NVIDIA driver reinstall
Wi-Fi driver reinstall
FurMark/GCS multiple times
Nothing fixed the issue.
Additional information
RTX 4050 is detected correctly in Device Manager.
FurMark completes successfully before the reboot.
DirectX 12 is installed.
Device Manager shows Intel UHD disabled (Code 22) only because I manually disabled it.
MSI technician has now escalated the case to MSI engineering.
My questions
Has anyone seen FurMark complete successfully but the system reboot immediately afterward?
Could this still be an Intel UHD / Optimus / hybrid graphics issue?
Could the replacement motherboard or BIOS/EC firmware be the cause?
Does the speaker issue after the motherboard replacement make anyone suspect the replacement motherboard itself?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

MSI Stealth Power Limits
My MSI Stealth A1VHG has a 4080 that’s rated at 60W + 45W dynamic boost. However, when on the extreme performance profile, the laptop only hits about 56-60W consistently and I never see it reaching up to that 105W (temps are at around 82-84). Is this normal for dynamic boost? Shouldn’t it be going above 60 as well?
