4. What are the Minsk Agreements and have they been observed?

5. What were the results of the referenda carried out in Luhansk and Donetsk in 2014?

6. What are the requirements under international law to declare independence as a nation?

There are plenty more questions you need to answer, but let's start with those.

I will head off any ad hominem responses at the pass by making the standard genuflection that I have no particular affection for Putin (or any politician or state/corporate operative) and that I abhor war as a solution for any issue.

Visible on his arm is what looks like a small British Flag.

Certain British military-connected Telegram channels (eg: https://t.iss.one/MDeLaBrox run by an individual with British Military training and with historical military-connected family background) have been extremely quick to dismiss all talk of direct British Military involvement in Ukraine, in the form of actual Uniformed British Military officers leading Ukrainian troops, whenever British uniformed personal, or just their abandoned uniforms, appear in photos from Ukraine.
