I recently attended the NOVA Arts & Culture event in Virginia. It was very well organized and it felt great to see familiar faces and meet new like-minded folks. It is amazing to see the support for the arts and crafts, βby our people, for our peopleβ. For many years, there have been conversations about the need for such an event. I am grateful that NOVA recognized that need. I had the honor of being invited to sit on a brief artist panel alongside three very talented people. I sold a few of my handwoven shawls, and it was really amazing to see the beautiful women walking around the event for the rest of the evening, wearing my work! I hope to see this become an annual event. If you missed it, we hope to see you next time.

I had a blast on The Artist Spotlight podcast tonight. It was inspiring and I came away from it with new ideas. Thanks to Mary Anna for the opportunity to come on the show, and to the live listeners for their great questions and conversation.

Warping the beam of the loom in preparation for baby blankets!!! The tension box keeps the threads in order and controls the tension while I count and wind. This will be a 36 inch warp, utilizing the maximum width of my loom. . .
