Veilid

Peer-to-peer network for easily sharing various kinds of data.
Veilid is designed with a social dimension in mind, so that each user can have their personal content stored on the network, but also can share that content with other people of their choosing, or with the entire world if they want.
The primary purpose of the Veilid network is to provide the infrastructure for a specific kind of shared data: social media in various forms. That includes light-weight content such as Twitter's tweets or Mastodon's toots, medium-weight content like images and songs, and heavy-weight content like videos. Meta-content such as personal feeds, replies, private messages, and so forth are also intended to run atop Veilid.

Obtainium is available via IzzyOnDroid or GitHub and let's you search for apps directly, or you can enter a URL to an app's project, where it grabs the latest APK, and installs it. Then it will check periodically for updates & install those as soon as they pop up.

It is the fastest way to get the latest version of an app, & completely bypasses all the app stores.

This can be good or bad. Good because you get apps you can't get anywhere else, and the latest versions sooner. Bad because you don't have anyone verifying the safeness of the file.

FFUpdater does the same with web browsers and OrBot. If you use Obtainium for other apps, you can use it for your browsers as well, and get rid of FFUpdater to free up resources.

Obtainium supports many App sources, including but not limited to:

- APKMirror

Obtainium is in pre-release, & isn't the most user friendly app, so it may take a while to learn. Don't give up!

Hey folks, got another update for the GhostNet documentation. The biggest change is a freq change to 7.107 to avoid the main VarAC calling freq. This should work simultaneously, and not conflict (just pick an open area on the JS8 waterfall), but I wanted to alleviate any possible overlap, just in case. Same for the 20m freq, which is now 14.107.

Louis Rossman and FUTO have released another not -FOSS app of interest. This time they bring us the #video #streaming app #Grayjay, which is designed to let you surf and search all you favorite video streaming services at once.

Grayjay does everything the popular NewPipe app does, plus more. Unfortunately NewPipe only worked with YouTube and PeerTube.

BraveNewPipe

A libre lightweight streaming front-end for Android

Due to restrictive project policy, the #NewPipe team refuses to add platforms that they find offensive. This fork (BraveNewPipe) will not be as restrictive. As long as the platforms work in the spirit of free speech, they could be integrated.
Nevertheless, platforms that promote pornography or other degrading things will NOT be included here.

Contribute
This fork will focus only on integrating other platforms. Unrelated patches will be rejected for now.
Feel free to suggest which alternative platforms should be included. Any contribution (development/testing/bug report) is greatly appreciated.
