Inflation Rockets Up to 8.5 Percent in March While Biden Claims It Is Putin's Fault
Under Joebama’s watch, inflation surged 8.5 percent since March of 2021 in the largest 12-month increase since December 1981.
The White House, anticipating a bad report, tried to cushion the blow by blaming rising gas and food prices on Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
ZeroHedge gutted the “Putin price hike” lie with a single chart, showing that more than 90% of the increase in the CPI occurred before the Russia-Ukraine conflict began.

Blockchain Alternative to the CPI Clocks True Inflation at 13.5 Percent
Decentralized finance firm Truflation has built a new gauge to track inflation that is independent from the government and in real-time. Think of it as a competitor to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), and one where officials can’t move the goalposts.
ZeroHedge describes it as “a censorship-resistant, un-manipulatable inflation feed — a decentralized un-deletable history of real prices indexed and available to all.”
“The centralized state isn’t going to provide reliable inflation stats,” former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan said. He challenged Web 3 developers to build a censorship-resistant inflation feed and promised an investment of $100K to the winner.
On Friday it was announced that Truflation won the competition.
So what is the "true" inflation rate? The Truflation Dashboard says 13.5% (with food costs up 28.9%)!

Zuckerberg Shifts Gears to Election ‘Technology and Process Improvements’ After Backlash Over CTCL’s 2020 Vote-Rigging Operation
The nonprofit that distributed most of the $419 million in donations from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to election offices in 2020 said Monday that it won’t disburse similar donations this year after evidence emerged that the contributions helped rig the outcome of the presidential race for Joe Biden.
"As Mark and Priscilla made clear previously, their election infrastructure donation… was a one-time donation given the unprecedented nature of the crisis," Ben LaBolt, a spokesperson for Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, said. "They have no plans to repeat that donation."
Rigged 2020 director Dave Bossie called the announcement a “huge victory” on GETTR. But his enthusiasm may be premature. The Center for Technology and Civic Life is launching a new initiative dubbed the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence. AP News described the $80 million, 5-year effort as a “network” where “thousands of local election officials… can apply for aid to improve their technology and processes.” That sounds an awful lot like Zuckerbucks being injected directly into our elections offices. Again.
The Election Excellence website presents the program as a “collaborative that is bringing together election officials, designers, technologists, and other experts to help local election departments improve operations, develop a set of shared standards and values, and obtain access to best-in-class resources to run successful elections.”
The group will work with technology experts at Stanford University and elsewhere, explained Tiana Epps-Johnson, CTCL’s executive director, who announced the new program at the TED2022 conference. Local election offices will be able to apply for assistance, but things will work differently than two years ago. In other words, the bribe money won’t be as blatant.
Epps-Johnson was a 2018 Obama Foundation fellow and the election administration director for the progressive New Organizing Institute in Washington, D.C., where two of CTCL's other executives, Whitney May and Donny Bridges, also previously worked, Just the News reported.
Of course Zuckerberg doesn’t need to spend half a million dollars buying our elections now that he has the Biden regime to do it for him. The AP noted that “CTCL has spent much of the time since the 2020 contests pushing for greater government funding of election offices, saying that would be better than another round of private donations. The nonprofit was encouraged by Biden’s request for $10 billion in election funding in the federal budget he released last month.”
A year ago, Biden issued Executive Order 14019, which demanded more than a dozen federal agencies register new voters and “promote voter participation.”
“This is like the Zuckerbucks election scam that funneled millions of private dollars into Democrat-favored districts during the 2020 election. But rather than Facebook’s founder funding it, taxpayers would,” The Federalist wrote.
“Now, as state legislatures pass election integrity laws to make sure the Zuckerberg scandal never happens again, Biden is taking action to ensure it will happen again and on an even bigger scale in Democrat strongholds,” the article continued.
Zuckerberg is doing the exact same thing he did to rig the 2020 election, it's just that this time he has the president he installed as a partner.

Elon Musk Announces $43 Billion Hostile Takeover of Twitter: ‘Free Speech Is a Societal Imperative for a Functioning Democracy’ | Daily Mail
Twitter bosses confirm they'll 'carefully review' Elon Musk's bid to buy entire social media network after he launched $41B hostile takeover bid that'll see stockholders offered $54.20 a share.
Elon Musk has offered to buy Twitter in a $41.39 billion all-cash deal that would take the company private, telling the board chairman in an offer letter: 'Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it.'
Musk insisted that his bid was his 'best and final offer', adding that 'if the deal doesn’t work, given that I don’t have confidence in management nor do I believe I can drive the necessary change in the public market, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder,' a regulatory filing on Thursday morning showed.
His offer price of $54.20 per share represents a 38 percent premium to the closing price of Twitter's stock on April 1, the last trading day before the CEO publicly revealed his 9.2 percent stake in the company, sending the stock popping.
Musk, who is Twitter's biggest shareholder, sent his offer letter on Wednesday night, telling the company's board that 'it's a high price and your shareholders will love it'.
Musk told Bret Taylor, the Chairman of the Board: 'I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.’
'However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.'
Musk continued: 'As a result, I am offering to buy 100 percent of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54 percent premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38 percent premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced.’
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives called Musk's offer a 'historic move' in a note, adding 'ultimately we believe this soap opera will end with Musk owning Twitter after this aggressive hostile takeover of the company.'

Elon Musk's Twitter Takeover Triggers Leftist Meltdown
Musk Derangement Syndrome was in full swing Thursday after the news hit that Elon Musk was seeking to buy all of Twitter’s stock and turn the social media giant into a privately owned free speech company.
Max Boot, a columnist with The Washington Post, predicts catastrophe if the deal goes through, “I am frightened by the impact on society and politics if Elon Musk acquires Twitter… For democracy to survive, we need more content moderation, not less.”
Axios joined the pile on, tweeting: “The world's richest man — someone who used to be compared to Marvel's Iron Man — is increasingly behaving like a movie supervillain, commanding seemingly unlimited resources with which to finance his mischief-making.”
Summing up the viral hypocrisy, @TheWashingtonPundit responded, “AXIOS, aka Steve Job’s widow, and other news outlets don’t seem to mind Jeff Bezos or Bloomberg’s ownership of media companies.”

Saudi Investor Rejects Elon’s Twitter Takeover Bid
Twitter shares retreated after news circulated that a “major” Saudi investor had rejected Elon Musk’s takeover bid. Prince Al Waleed bin Talal said the offer price undervalued the social media giant, tweeting:
"I don't believe that the proposed offer by @elonmusk ($54.20) comes close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects. Being one of the largest & long-term shareholders of Twitter @Kingdom_KHC & I reject this offer."
Talal claims to hold a 5.2% stake in the company (since 2015). However, oddly neither he nor his holding company appear on Bloomberg’s top 40 Twitter shareholders list.
Meanwhile, Twitter’s board has hired Goldman Sachs “to ‘advise’ it that the @elonmusk $54.20 offer is too low,” ZeroHedge tweeted. “Only problem: Goldman has a SELL rating with a $30 price target. Oops.”

Elon Confirms There Is a Plan B
At the TED2022 conference in Vancouver Thursday, Elon acknowledged that he is "not sure" his Twitter takeover attempt will be successful. Chris Anderson, the head of TED, then asked if he has a backup plan:
“If the board does not accept your offer, you've said you won't go higher — is there a Plan B?"
"There is,” a poker-faced Elon responded.
“My strong intuitive sense is that having a public platform that is maximally trusted and broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization,” Musk added. “I don’t care about the economics at all.”

SEC, DOJ Have Launched 'Joint Investigation' Into Tesla Amid Elon Musk's Twitter Takeover Bid
Fox Business senior correspondent Charles Gasparino reports that the federal government has launched a formal investigation into Elon Musk’s Tesla on the same day the billionaire announced his bid to take Twitter private.

“This is the DOJ stepping in to save it's favored social media censorship engine,” Classical Conservative agreed, adding “Twitter cannot rightly reject Musk's offer while claiming they're beholden to the shareholders. Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover Directly Threatens the Globalists’ Ability to Stay in Power
“It’s not an overstatement to say that [Elon Musk’s Twitter bid] could be the single most important development for free speech in the modern history of the United States,” Tucker Carlson emphasized on his Thursday night show.
“By doing this, Elon Musk is putting everything on the line. He knows how important Twitter is to the people who run our system, who run the global system. For them, censorship and propaganda are not a feature of their rule — their rule depends on censorship and propaganda… And Elon Musk is challenging all of that directly,” Tucker explained.
“[Twitter] is not a company that exists to make money,” he continued. “This is a company that exists to censor speech. That's its whole purpose. The Biden administration certainly understands this, and they've already made a move to intimidate Musk into backing off... The SEC and DOJ have launched… a joint investigation into a myriad of Musk regulatory issues, primarily involving Tesla. In other words, 'Threaten to allow people to speak freely and we'll crush your businesses’…
“All of a sudden, the political party that’s supported almost exclusively by oligarchs, like Jeff Bezos and the Google guys, is telling you that it’s dangerous for rich people to have too much control over speech. Facebook is controlled by one person, Mark Zuckerberg, but that’s not a threat because Mark Zuckerberg is happy to work on behalf of the Democrat Party… If anything, we are understating what a big deal this move on Twitter by Elon Musk is. If free speech is restored to even one big social media platform, it all comes tumbling down,” Tucker concluded.

Twitter Board Adopts 'Poison Pill' to Block Elon Musk's Hostile Takeover, Exposing Itself to ‘Titanic’ Legal Liability | Red State
Twitter has responded to Elon Musk’s offer to buy Twitter for 38 percent more than it’s currently worth, rejecting a windfall profit for its shareholders and violating its fiduciary duty.
According to CNBC, the social media giant’s board has adopted a “poison pill” that will dilute any shares that Musk tries to acquire by allowing current shareholders to increase their shares at a discounted price. The provision kicks in when Musk acquires more than 15 percent of the company.
Under the new structure, if any person or group acquires beneficial ownership of at least 15% of Twitter’s outstanding common stock without the board’s approval, other shareholders will be allowed to purchase additional shares at a discount. The plan is set to expire on April 14, 2023.
Such a move is a common way to fend off a potential hostile takeover by diluting the stake of the entity eying the takeover.
“The Rights Plan will reduce the likelihood that any entity, person or group gains control of Twitter through open market accumulation without paying all shareholders an appropriate control premium or without providing the Board sufficient time to make informed judgments and take actions that are in the best interests of shareholders,” the company said in a press release.
“Poison pills can also shield entrenched and underperforming company managers from shareholder efforts to replace them,” Charlie Kirk noted on Telegram.
This is an incredibly bad move for the company itself. While a poison pill plan might fend off a hostile takeover (for a while, at least), it also lowers the value of each share of the company. That means a lot of people who have invested their money into Twitter stock are about to get screwed if Musk goes ahead and triggers the provision.
It's time for Elon Musk to activate Plan B.
