At an evening news conference, Kenney said the restriction exemption program has served its purpose, but is no longer needed since Alberta passed peak of Omicron infections about three weeks ago.

In Ottowa, police have tried to choke off the supply lines of food, fuel and other goods that have sustained the protesters. Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson declared a state of emergency on Sunday, saying authorities were “losing the battle” against groups that were “calling the shots.”

Inflation took its biggest leap in 40 years in January, according to new figures.
The Consumer Price Index rose 7.5 percent over January 2021, the highest jump since February 1982, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said in a release Thursday.
“Increases in the indexes for food, electricity, and shelter were the largest contributors to the seasonally adjusted all items increase,” BLS said.
Diane Swonk, chief economist at Grant Thornton was anticipating the bad news. “There’s wage push inflation already here in the services sector, and it’s going to accelerate even as supply chain issues and the things [the Fed] thinks are transitory are going to abate,” she said Wednesday, according to CNBC.
Swonk said inflation in the service sector is “hot enough to burn. Things like rents matter to people, and medical bills are going to go up.”
Meanwhile, Bloomberg noted that inflation-adjusted wages dropped 1.7% in January compared with a year before, making it the 10th month in a row when prices have gone up faster than wages.
Scott Adams commented on Twitter, “Inflation… hits low-income people the hardest. The rich take a hit too, but their assets rise with inflation, they can repay their existing loans in cheaper dollars, and often they can pass along price increases to their customers.”

Raising interest rates will drastically increase the cost of servicing all of that debt. And it will increase the cost of borrowing more money for the Biden spending coming down the pike.
On top of that, American consumers are buried under debt. Consumer debt jumped 11% year-on-year in November. It was the biggest single-month jump in consumer debt in 20 years. Total consumer debt now stands at an all time high of $4.43 trillion. And that doesn’t include mortgages.
And that’s not all. Businesses and corporations are also leveraged to the hilt. The year 2020 set a record for corporate debt issuance with $2.28 trillion of bonds and loans, comprising both new bonds and bonds issued to refinance existing debt. Total corporate debt now stands at a record $11.4 trillion.
All of this debt is a feature of the Fed’s loose monetary policy — not a bug.
The Federal Reserve and the US government have built a post-pandemic “economic recovery” on stimulus and debt. It is predicated on corporations borrowing to buyback their own stock and consumers spending stimulus money borrowed and handed out by the federal government or running up their own credit cards.
Now, the Fed is threatening to turn off that easy money spigot. How will consumers buried under more than $1 trillion in credit card debt pay those balances down with interest rates rising?
Overleveraged companies have the same problem.
And so does the US government.
This does not bode well for an economy that depends on borrowing and spending to sustain itself.

GiveSendGo, which has raised almost $8.5 million dollars for the truckers, responded with the following fiery message on Twitter, “Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo. All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.”
Führer Ford’s actions reportedly came after “members of the Biden administration held a series of high level calls with their Canadian counterparts, urging them to use their federal powers to end the blockades, offering the full support of the Department of Homeland Security,” according to a tweet by CBC’s Kate Simpson.
Crypto-based crowd-funding platform Tallycoin offers a second method to support the Canadian truckers and front-line protesters, in keeping with Mark Jeftovic’s article last week, ‘This Proves Bitcoin's Use-Case.’

We are now seeing shocking signals of desperation from our globalist, corporatist opponents. The incompetence of the Party of Davos is becoming plain for all to see.
1) For the first time, we can clearly see that they are willing and able to collude with Silicon Valley to weaponize the banking system against us.
Taking 10 million US Dollars from a political fundraising campaign is something that most of us could not have imagined two years ago.
2) The censorship is ramping up, and our opponents are no longer really trying to justify it.
The attacks on Joe Rogan are truly a desperate act.
To attack the most beloved media icon in North America has so much downside and again, shows they are coordinating.
3) So desperate are these conspirators, they’ve now literally asked the US Department of Defense to commit a felony; changing data in the Defense Medical Epidemiological Database.
Stupidly, it had already been released - and is now being studied by the medical community. THEY WERE CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN, CHANGING DATA AFTER THE FACT. My guess is that this deserves criminal investigation.
4) It’s time to end the FAKE Emergency powers which have been used to suspend your constitutional and natural rights.
There is no Emergency. Treatment strategies for curing COVID-19 using repurposed drugs were discovered by March 2020. Omicron is not a killer. The censorship must stop.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced a “state of emergency in Ontario” on Friday over the Freedom Convoy protests. Ford laid out an aggressive plan to put an end to the “siege,” while conceding a pathway to remove Covid restrictions on indoor businesses, such as “vaccine passports.”
Ford held a press conference, where he claimed that the Covid measures that were put in place were necessary, and required “unthinkable sacrifices.” Watch:
“[Dr. Kieran Moore] is now working on a plan that will allow us to remove the vaccine passport system,” Ford said. “My friends, this is great news and a sign of just how far we’ve come together in this fight. But this progress doesn’t change what we’ve been through because the truth is this virus forced us to make unthinkable sacrifices.”
Then, Ford became increasingly belligerent with his address.
“We’re now two weeks into the siege of the city of Ottawa,” Ford went on. “I call it a siege because that’s what it is. It’s an illegal occupation. This is no longer a protest. You peacefully make your point and you go back home…”
“There will be consequences for these actions and they will be severe. We’ve already started by going after the money funding the illegal occupation yesterday and an Ontario court granted our requests to freeze the funds from GiveSendGo for the convoy…
I’m using my authority as premier of Ontario to declare a state of emergency in our province. And I will convene cabinet to use legal authorities to urgently enact orders that will make crystal clear. It is illegal and punishable to block and impede the movement of goods, people and services along critical and infrastructure…
Fines for noncompliance will be severe with a maximum penalty of $100,000 and up to a year imprisonment.”
Ontario Premier Ford’s speech is quite remarkable in that it mixes authoritarian threats with the pretense of empathy. It’s actually a master class in political propaganda, suggesting Ontario quite likely had considerable help crafting it.

Project Polaris is looking for thousands of "cyber adjudicators" to join the project.
Anyone can join. (Please watch the introduction video on the project home page)
The task is simple.
Once you sign up and your account is approved (which can take a few hours) you will be able to "adjudicate" ballot images.
Adjudicating one ballot image typically takes 2 mins. All you need to do is, look at the ballot image and transcribe the results by clicking on some tick boxes. That is it!
You can do this in your own time, in the comfort of your home, while you are listening to audio 😊
# Requirements
- A computer with a good size monitor
- Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination
- Time and patience 😉
# Tips
- After a bit of practice you can easily adjudicate ballots while listening to audio (podcast, radio, video etc...)
- Use the full screen mode in your browser (F11)
- If you have a 4K screen, zoom out to 55% in order to see the ballot image and the input form without having to scroll
# Outcomes
- Capture the full ballot race results so we can compare the presidential race with other races. i.e. do a full "down ballot" analysis.
- See first hand what ballots look like. If anything looks suspicious you can add a note to the input form. (E.g. if there are no visible fold marks, or the oval markings look computer generated.)
- Improve the platform and discover ballot image anomalies that can't be picked up by a computer program
