Wisconsin Senate Committee Issues Subpoena for Madison 2020 Election Records | Channel 3000
As we reported last week, a WI Senate committee has issued a subpoena to the city of Madison for election records. Channel 3000 has more details:
“State Republicans announced plans for their own investigation in late October after the non-partisan Legislative Audit Bureau shared a report outlining inconsistent administration of election law based on surveys of ballots from around the state.
The subpoena — issued by the Senate Committee on Elections, Election Process Reform and Ethics and signed by Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu, Senate President Chris Kapenga and committee chair Senator Kathleen Bernier — calls for the city to turn over all physical absentee ballot certificates for the November 2020 General Election and the results of tests on electronic voting machines used for the election.
According to LAB’s report, Madison City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl was the only clerk to decline to let the LAB physically handle absentee ballot certificates, citing chain-of-custody concerns.
‘Having to sign the third subpoena in the history of the Senate is not something I take lightly. It’s unfortunate and concerning that a few people running elections think they are more important than the electorate,’ Kapenga said. ‘I sign this with the full effect of the law behind it. We are not playing games, and there will be consequences if they don’t comply.’
Senate Republicans’ election investigation is being run simultaneously with a separate investigation led by former Supreme Court Justice Mike Gableman. Earlier this fall, Gableman sent subpoenas to the Wisconsin Elections Commission and the state’s five largest cities asking for election materials and interviews with election officials. A judge has set a hearing on whether or not to block that subpoena.”

Judicial Watch announced today that it sent letters to election officials in 14 counties and five states — Arkansas, California, Illinois, New York, and Oregon — notifying them of evident violations of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA). The letters detail how these states’ own reported data show that their counties removed an “absurdly low” or “impossible” number of inactive voter registrations under key provisions of the NVRA. Robert Popper, Judicial Watch senior attorney and director of its voting integrity efforts, observed that “About 10% of Americans move every year. Those counties should generate hundreds of thousands of cancelled registrations. There is simply no way to comply with federal law while removing so few outdated registrations under its key provision.” Popper emphasized that these numbers come directly from state reports to the EAC. Popper was formerly Deputy Chief of the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.
“These letters are just the beginning of another sweep, in federal court if necessary, to clean voter rolls throughout the country,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Special Counsel Mike Gableman has released an interim report on his investigation into the 2020 election in Wisconsin. He identifies several important areas of focus:
1) Private money election subversion, e.g. by groups like Zuckerberg’s CTCL
“Evidence is already in this Office’s possession indicates undue influence by well-funded private groups, who leveraged large grants to certain Wisconsin cities in order to co-opt our election apparatus to their benefit… Indeed, contracts made between outside groups and certain municipalities led directly to actions contrary to Wisconsin state law, which some clerks noted harmed… election security... The public has a right to know if there was a quid pro quo arrangement between outside groups and cities, and if so, what the terms of that agreement were.”
2) The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) and violations of election law, including,
Ballot Harvesting
“While this Office draws no conclusions, we possess evidence that the [Democracy in the Park] events, which occurred on September 26 and October 3, 2020, involved numerous possible violations of state law, calling into question the validity of over 17,000 absentee ballots. Specifically, these involved large outdoor gatherings where purported designees of the City Clerk’s office assisted with absentee ballots that yielded over 17,000 votes.”

A second issue related to the transparency of our election system in the state is the public availability of voter data… There is already evidence that security surrounding the WisVote (SVRS) system is lax. This statewide system enables clerks to track absentee ballot requests and includes highly sensitive personal information. As such, it is supposed to be subject to a high level of security laid out in WEC guidance. Nevertheless, there is already some evidence of unauthorized access to this database.”

The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals has won the lottery to hear legal challenges to the Biden administration's vaccine ‘sledgehammer’ that affects some 84 million workers.
The lottery was announced after multiple lawsuits against the administration were filed in several federal appeals courts.
The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is known to lean conservative, with most of its judges appointed by Republican presidents. Six were appointed by President Donald Trump and five were appointed by President George W. Bush, while a total of five were appointed by Democratic Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
@Praying_Medic notes that Justice Brett Kavanaugh oversees the 6th Circuit Court. @Maximus_4EVR describes Kavanaugh as “to the right of Roberts and to the Left of Alito/Thomas. But this is really hard to measure. Kavanaugh is very pro-gun, for example.” Maximus adds, “the 6th Circuit composition is nearly identical to the 5th Circuit.”
It will now be up to the 6th Circuit to decide whether to uphold the stay issued by the 5th Circuit.

“All those drop boxes that were sent throughout Metro Atlanta, you can’t police them if you wanted to, so it just made it ripe for bad actors to game the system,” Republican state Sen. Burt Jones told Just the News in an interview this week.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation recently disclosed in a letter it declined to investigate or audit concerns about possible misuse of drop boxes, saying there wasn't enough evidence to warrant such an action.
Jones said he believes the camera footage should still be checked from November 2020 and the January Senate runoff in his state, and that such audits should become part of the future election integrity measures.
In Georgia, the use of drop boxes in 2020 was not approved by the Legislature but instead implemented in a consent decree and settlement between state officials and Democratic voter mobilization activists like Stacey Abrams. They were placed at scores of locations across the state, most heavily in the blue areas around Atlanta.

Wisconsin Rep. Timothy Ramthun Submits Resolution to Decertify the 2020 Election
“Today I have formally called upon the entire legislature to answer the concerns the majority of Wisconsin citizens have regarding election integrity. I have openly and transparently provided every office with my joint resolution asking to reclaim Wisconsin’s 10 electoral ballots, along with a legal memo that speaks truth to the process of decertification… It falls upon us to take a stand and set an example for the remaining states to follow.”

Condemning Hobbs’ multi-million dollar defeat in a discrimination lawsuit, the article continues:

If you’re explaining, you’re losing.
Democrat Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s secretary of state and the frontrunner (until a few days ago) for the party’s gubernatorial nomination, has been explaining.
And explaining some more.
And losing.
Because none of her explanations are good enough.
And nothing about her situation is going to change.
