Without a coherent strategy, Afghanistan’s vast mineral resources represent both a lost opportunity and a threat to national security.
Torn by four decades of war and desperate poverty, Afghanistan is believed to be sitting on one of the richest troves of minerals in the world. The value of these resources has been roughly estimated between $1-3 trillion.
Afghanistan has vast reserves of gold, platinum, silver, copper, iron, chromite, lithium, uranium, and aluminum… The United States Geological Survey (USGS), through its extensive scientific research of minerals, concluded that Afghanistan may hold 60 million metric tons of copper, 2.2 billion tons of iron ore, 1.4 million tons of rare earth elements (REEs) such as lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, and veins of aluminium, gold, silver, zinc, mercury, and lithium. According to Pentagon officials, their initial analysis at one location in Ghazni province showed the potential for lithium deposits as large as those of Bolivia, which has the world’s largest known lithium reserves. The USGS estimates the Khanneshin deposits in Helmand province will yield 1.1.-1.4 million metric tons of REEs. Some reports estimate Afghanistan REE resources are among the largest on earth.
REEs have become essential part of modern technology. They are used in cell phones, televisions, hybrid engines, computers, lasers, and batteries. U.S. Congressional findings have called REEs critical to national security. REEs are [also] key to the production of tank navigation systems, missile guidance systems, missile defense components, satellites, and military communications systems.

GOP Committees in 5 Wisconsin Counties Join Growing List Calling for Full Forensic Audit of 2020 Election
On Thursday, RiseUPWisconsin.com, headed by retired Sheriff David Clarke, announced the formation of a committee to demand full forensic audits and election reform in Wisconsin. The grassroots effort is targeting all 72 Wisconsin counties.
The following is an excerpt from their August 12 statement:
As a follow-up to the highly successful August 6th “Rise Up Wisconsin Rally” in favor of a full forensic cyber audit of the November 3, 2020 Election (www.riseupwisconsin.com) held at the State Capitol in Madison, an Ad-hoc Committee of various individuals, political party members and organizations committed to rooting out election fraud and standing for election integrity for all political affiliations in Wisconsin, asked for and received an Emergency Meeting with Representative Janel Brandtjen (R-Menomonee Falls) and Tim Ramthun’s Office Staff (R-Campbellsport) today to show their support of the Representatives who have called for a full forensic cyber audit of the November 3, 2020 Election.
Items discussed at the meeting today… included, but weren’t limited to, the funding of the audit, the scope of the audit and getting legislative approval of the audit to move the process forward as quickly and efficiently as possible at no cost to Wisconsin Taxpayers to ensure election fraud will never happen again and to protect the integrity of the election box for all Wisconsin voters.
A 72-county effort will immediately be launched by the Ad-hoc Committee to inform as many Wisconsinites as possible to contact their Legislative Representative to strongly encourage Speaker Vos (R-Rochester) and or Senator LeMahieu (R-Oostburg) to sign off on Representative Brandtjen’s, Chair of the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections, subpoenas of Brown and Milwaukee Counties that were served on August 6th... Governor Evers said, “Hell no…” when asked this week if clerks should comply with Representative Brandtjen’s August 6th subpoenas (Associated Press, August 10, 2021).
The Ad-hoc Committee received an immediate boost to their efforts late today in support of Representative Brandtjen and Ramthun when the Committee received a copy of a resolution from the Executive Committee of the Sauk County Republican Party that was passed unanimously.. in support of a full forensic cyber audit of the November 3, 2020 Election (See attached).

Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene said she is drafting Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden as the debacle on his Afghanistan withdrawal of troops continues.
She spoke to Donald Trump’s former advisor Steve Bannon on his “War Room” podcast this weekend when she made the announcement.
According to Newsweek, Representative Jeff Van Drew (former Dem turned Republican) of New Jersey has also called on Biden to resign as President. "I cannot believe I'm saying this, it literally is time for this President to resign," Drew told Fox News host Trey Gowdy Sunday. "It is time for this Vice President to resign. It is time for the Senate President and Speaker to resign. We need new people, even new Democrats, hopefully that are moderates."
Senator Rick Scott chimed in on Twitter: “After the disastrous events in Afghanistan, we must confront a serious question: Is Joe Biden capable of discharging the duties of his office or has time come to exercise the provisions of the 25th Amendment?”
Impeachment proceedings begin in the House, where “representatives must charge an official of the federal government by approving, by simple majority vote, articles of impeachment,” according to the U.S. Senate website.
Once passed, articles are then sent to the Senate, where lawmakers will consider evidence, hear witnesses, and vote to acquit or convict the impeached official. The Constitution requires a “two-thirds vote of the Senate to convict, and the penalty for an impeached official upon conviction is removal from office.”
It is not the first time Rep. Taylor Greene has introduced Articles of Impeachment against Bien. She did so on January 21, the day after his inauguration.
“President Biden is even on tape admitting to a quid pro quo with the Ukrainian government threatening to withhold $1,000,000,000 in foreign aid if they did not do his bidding. President Biden residing in the White House is a threat to national security and he must be immediately impeached,” she said in January.

It is not the first time Rep. Taylor Greene has introduced Articles of Impeachment against Bien. She did so on January 21, the day after his inauguration.
“President Biden is even on tape admitting to a quid pro quo with the Ukrainian government threatening to withhold $1,000,000,000 in foreign aid if they did not do his bidding. President Biden residing in the White House is a threat to national security and he must be immediately impeached,” she said in January.
